"You... you enchanted it!" Adelia blurted out loud after she released the arrow. She turned back to Azel with her eyes widened.
Azel shrugged, it was all he could do to keep himself from smiling. "I tried."
Adelia stood there, dumbfounded. "You... tried?"
Her eyes shifted back to the bow in her hands, and she studied it more closely, almost as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
It was an ordinary longbow, crafted from cheap wood—one of the many that the Knights had set aside due to their poor quality...
Like the other ones she had broken and the ones that lay in a pile not too far away from her.
Enchanting a bow of such low quality would typically yield limited results. It could, at best, bring it up to the strength of an average oaken bow—one she could easily snap in two with her own considerable strength.
