She pressed her lips together. "An oaken bow is stronger... and heavier," she explained. "Mine even had a strengthening enchantment on it."
Azel nodded in understanding. "I see," he mused. "But if you had such a bow, why expend your time and strength on... these ones?"
Adelia's lips immediately tightened into a thin line. "I don't have it anymore."
"Why? What happened to it?"
"It broke."
Azel raised an eyebrow. "It broke? Was it due to your actions or someone else's, Milady?" He inquired, placing the cork back on the small bottle of ointment.
Adelia hesitated for a moment before giving her response. "It was someone else..."
Azel knew he was delving into sensitive territory, but his curiosity got the better of him. "May I know who it is?"
Adelia looked up at him, her expression flat. "Yes." She agreed. "You."
