Just as the man held his friend, a Black Essence shot out of him like an explosion, wrapping both of them in a cloud of blackness that swirled around and made the second Peacekeeper scream in fright and pain.
Midas on the other hand started laughing as he pounced at the two, grabbing the Second Peacekeeper by his neck and slamming him onto the floor, driving even more of the black essence inside him.
The third Peacekeeper, who used to be a normal civilian, stood rooted to the floor, unable to even conceive of what was happening at that moment. What he was seeing was impossible! This was a use of Energy, something disallowed in this place, and yet there it was, happening right in front of his eyes.
