The dimly lit chamber was cold at that moment as if something oppressive was in the air. The Council had gathered solemnly to discuss all the happenings in the city. The Members' faces? A mixture of frustration and wariness, and these emotions had become all too common recently.
The situation was not looking good at that moment. But that was beside the point. As long as they had their positions, then everything was still negotiable. However, that was the whole point. This one existence was threatening their position in ways they had never imagined seeing before.
