As the fight continued, the Doppelgänger's style of fighting changed once again this time shifting into a stance Midas did not recognise, a fluid, dynamic posture that seemed to be ready for anything.
As the smile on its face, morphed to a distorted smile that Midas did not recognise, Midas could not help but have a curious thought in his mind for the first time in this long drawn-out fight.
What the hell was happening?
`Okay… I'll kill you now.` The Doppelgänger said, and just as Midas felt sure he understood this was another method of affecting his mind that would not work, the Doppelgänger continued to combine aspects of Martial Arts he knew, and yet make them somehow different.
Its movements were simple as it blocked even while attacking, sending Midas backwards even though he was the one who was on the attack in that movement. It seemed to have streamlined the efficiency of its movements while simultaneously maximising both offence and defence.
