Gwen's sobs almost came to a stop, but she retained her composure, saying, "Midas… W-what do you mean?"

"Do you really want me to use the Slave Seal on you to figure out the validity of those words?" said Midas, still rubbing her back like a supportive partner. His actions would have been read as warm and satisfying, but his words were grating to the ears.

Gwen didn't even know how to react and merely kept quiet, her hand, that was previously wrapped around Midas' body quivering unconsciously. Should she run away? No, that was the wrong question. Could she even run away?

Before Gwen could speak, Midas said, "Look, the only truthful thing you said in that badly written speech was that you're a selfish narcissist. I agree. That you are. Now, if we can get to the part where we talk about how that baby came about without the lies and deceptions that would be great…
