Midas stared at the rays of light coming from the East that signalled the rising of the sun. It was the fifth day since they had arrived in these trials.
Midas still couldn't sleep. He found it slightly annoying, but he also knew that it was a blessing in disguise. It meant that he had more time to do the things that mattered to him.
While others had 18 hours in a day, he had the full 24 hours. While others had 7-day weeks, he had 9-day weeks when viewed in relative time scales. That was a lot of time.
No matter how annoying it was, Midas knew that he really should not complain as it was a boon to him. And because he was not having seizures or strokes, then it was fine for him to be living like this.
Midas thought of the happenings of the previous day and smiled. The day could certainly be described as eventful, enlightening, thrilling and filling.
