Link had clearly gone mad, sacrificing a million normal human lives so he could outlast Midas in their battle. Midas had thought about the possibility of Link doing something like that, but he felt like Link would never risk it, especially since that would be a great offence to Gaia.
But then again, Gaia was too busy evolving to care about a few million deaths, especially when there millions of others happening all around the world.
This crazy bastard had gambled and Midas was sure his gamble was going to pay off. At least if he survived this…
As Midas watched the world around him become engrossed again in Link's Extant Domain, he couldn't help but feel a trepidation. Now! He had to do it now!
There was something Midas had prepared before and he had left it this far because he knew that as long as he had Gwen set up and protect the formation, that would be enough of a major distraction to force Link's hand.
