The Extant Root is the Seventh Root that, according to the symmetry and alignment of the human body, is found on the top of the head.
This, unsurprisingly, bore a striking resemblance to another Energy Center in Eastern Spirituality.
In Philosophy and Religion, this place was called the crown of the head and the name of this Energy Center was the Crown Chakra.
The first references to the Chakras can be traced back to the Vedas, the oldest scriptures in Hinduism. There it was written all about the the Energy Centers of the body and about the final Energy Center on the top of the head which was possibly the most important of them all.
In the texts, the Crown Chakra was described as the Cosmic Portal and the symbol of Spiritual Enlightenment and it was associated with the colour of pure white light signifying purity, transcendence and spiritual illumination.
