Midas and the Council convened later, eager to discuss their next course of action in this critical situation. The revelation that had recently come to their attention, that `Zaran` was the holder of the other half of their Golden Key, added another layer of complexity to the Trial and their journey.
How lucky were they?
There was an intricacy to these Trials that always left Midas in wonder and at that moment, as he explained the situation with completing the Golden Key of Man, even he could not explain what exactly was supposed to happen.
Midas told them his theory: It was meant to be a battle.
Both Clans were meant to traverse the tunnel together and maybe be forced to a stop at some point, maybe at the Gate, where they realise that half a key would not open the Gate to the next part of the maze.
That would be when they would be forced into a fight for the other Fragment of the key and the winner would have the right to go to the next Trial.
