{Bonus Chapter 4/6}
Frank and Midas go way back. Midas had met Frank on the second day of the Trials at the Shrine and on that day, Frank had been more than welcoming as he invited Midas to his Coalition but luckily Midas had carefully navigated that encounter and went away without taking too much of a loss.
That first encounter was a humiliating experience for Midas though.
The fact that he was made to flinch by such a base animal as someone who would solicit sex services from a trafficker and slaver, and a man who thinks himself a mafioso, attacking people and extorting from them regularly…
Pathetic.
This was why Midas' disgust for Frank was so visceral. Frank was a constant reminder of when Midas was still not good enough — still not strong enough. This was also another reason why Midas wanted to destroy him.
