Chapter 132 - Tenth Quest Complete

Day of Monar, 6:13 p.m.

At the Adventurer's Guild.

It was already almost sundown and the main hall was packed with many people submitting their quest items.

The moment Vivian entered the hall, several eyes immediately turned to her and some people began whispering among each other.

Vivian knitted her brows.

This feeling…

She glanced at Pana.

When their eyes met with each other, Pana hurriedly looked away and pretended like she was busy doing something else.

I see…

So that's it, huh...?

Well, I really can't blame her…

Most people would rather join the majority than commit social self-deletion…

What's done is done...

It is what it is...

She headed straight to the Quest Rewards counter.

There was already a line so she joined in.

The person in front of her was a Silver II Rank and he moved a little closer to the person in front of him.

Vivian scoffed mentally.

Yeah, this is better…

At least I won't have anyone bothering me anymore…

"Priestess Vivian!" a familiar female voice called out.

She turned to the direction of where the voice was coming from and saw Felize.

"Oh, hi," Vivian said and flashed a warm and kind smile.

"It's nice to see you, Priestess," she said and bowed. "Are you here to submit your quest items?"

"Yes."

"I can submit it for you if you like."

Vivian looked around and saw Gaze in front of the line.

However, there was no sign of Torr.

"It's okay."

"But--"

"Thank you for the offer, but I can handle it. And plus, you must be tired from adventuring."

"Okay…"

When Felize noticed that Vivian didn't bother continue the conversation she tried to open her mouth but stopped when she recalled Vivian mentioning to her that she disliked pointless conversations.

"Please excuse me, Priestess," she said and left.

Vivian continued waiting in silence.

***

Some time later…

Vivian stepped outside of the Adventurer's Building and she saw Felize, Torr and Gaze.

They were all looking at her and were smiling. She also noticed Torr hiding something behind his back.

Vivian knitted her brows as she went over to them.

"What's wrong? Did something bad happen?"

It was Felize who spoke first.

"Priestess, as a token of our appreciation for helping us, we would like to give this to you."

She turned to Torr and the boy revealed the item he was hiding on his back.

It was a leather belt pouch with 4 pouches -- 2 on each side.

"Thank you, Priestess!" they all said and bowed as Torr presented the item.

Vivian wanted to decline. But after seeing their smiling faces and their sincerity, she decided not to.

Even she would feel bad if she were in their shoes and the person rejected their gift.

She reached out for the item.

"Thank you so much. I really didn't expect this --"

Ding!

'Unlocked Class Magic [Halo]!'

Vivian remained frozen, her hand a few inches away from touching the belt pouch, causing a confused expression to appear on the faces of Felize, Torr and Gaze.

"Priestess Vivian…?" asked Torr and Gaze.

"Priestess Vivian, is there something wrong?" asked Felize.

Seeing Vivian not responding, she was about to scold Gaze and Torr for choosing the belt pouch when suddenly Vivian let out a laugh.

"BWAHAHAHAHAHA…!"

Even the people nearby turned around to look at Vivian.

Chud!

She suddenly hugged the kids, causing them to blush.

"Thank you! Hahahahahaha~!" she said and then hugged them even tighter.

"P-Priestess…?" Felize let out a small voice.

Meanwhile, Gaze and Torr's blushed cheeks became even redder when they got a whiff of Vivian's scent, causing them to look away.

In the mind of the kids, especially with the two boys, although Vivian can act weird and be scary sometimes, she was still a beauty. On top of that, not only was she a strong Priest, but she also helped them a lot.

Vivian finally realized what she was doing and let go of them.

"Ehem!" she cleared her throat. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to hurt the three of you."

In her head, her Physical Force was mithril-grade so for her to hug them tight was too much.

"It's just that I finally learned my first Class Magic so I wasn't able to control myself."

Hearing what Vivian said, the faces of the kids turned into shock.

"Congratulations, Priestess!" the kids cheered and Felize hugged her.

"What is the Class Magic skill you learned?" Felize excitedly asked, her eyes sparkling.

"[Halo]."

"[Halo]?" the kids asked with a confused expression before looking at each other.

Unfortunately, they only knew about [Greater Heal], [Blessing] and [Resurrection].

Vivian stepped away from Felize's embrace.

"Let me show it to you."

[Halo].

A golden halo appeared behind Vivian's back and the kids became noticeably docile. And combined with their trust, admiration and appreciation for Vivian, they looked as if they were staring at some divine being.

Vivian noticed it and immediately deactivated the spell.

The moment she turned it off, their eyes returned to normal and they began rubbing their eyes, trying to figure out what just happened to them.

"I'm sorry about that."

When the kids were done rubbing their eyes and returned their gaze to Vivian, they blinked a few times, still trying to recall what just happened.

"Priestess, what was that skill?" asked Gaze.

"[Halo]."

"But what does it do? I felt so weird," saidFelize.

Vivian thought about it for a moment.

Am I allowed to explain this skill to them…?

She looked around.

There were still some people around watching them.

My God…!

Don't these people have other better things to do…?!

"I can't tell you everything about it. Let's just say, if you encounter a powerful Priest and they use this skill on you, you run right away and don't look back."

The faces of the kids became pale and they swallowed.

"It's that dangerous…?" asked Torr.

"In the hands of a powerful Priest. But if you're more powerful, you don't have anything to worry."

"Thank you for the advice, Priestess!" the kids said and bowed.

"Okay, I have other businesses to attend to. See you kids later."

"Priestess… This…" Torr said and showed her the belt pouch on his hands.

"Oh yes, thank you so much for this!"

She took it and immediately wore it.

"Not bad. It's really comfy. I also like the design."

Hearing Vivian's compliments, a bright smile appeared on the faces of the kids, especially Torr, because he was the one who chose the design.

"Thank you, Priestess! We're so happy that you like it!"

"Yes, we do!" said Felize and Gaze.

Vivian was about to turn away and leave but stopped and turned to Torr.

"By the way, you're practicing [Spear Mastery], right?"

"Yes, Priestess."

"I had my poleaxe repaired and I don't need it anymore."

"Your poleaxe?"

"Yeah, it's silver grade but it's already too weak for me."

"Wow! So you have the physical strength of a mithril metal?! No wonder you were able to handle those 2 gold adventurers!" said Felize.

Vivian's brows knitted together.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Having realized what she said, Felize immediately covered her mouth with her hands and looked away.

Gaze and Torr let out a wry smile.

"Priestess… Um… You see… We heard about the incident this afternoon…" said Gaze.

"Oh…"

For some reason, Vivian started to have a bad feeling build up inside of her.

"Yes, Priestess…" said Felize.

"But we believe you, Priestess! We know that you're actually a good person!" said Torr.

What do you mean by 'actually a good person'...?

Are you telling me you kids never seen me as a good person this whole time…?!

Vivian wanted to ask but held her tongue.

"I see… Thank you," she said. "Anyhow, I have to go now because I have many more businesses to attend to. And again, thank you for the gift, Felize, Torr and Gaze. I really love it."

"Thank you, too, Priestess, and take care!" the kids said and bowed.

"You too as well. And may the God of Light continue to watch over all of you."

Vivian turned around and finally left.
