[Mirror's POV]
A city inside a white box.
And inside that city, a little girl holding a sword against three imposing creatures.
"I won't lose." repeated Mirror to herself.
Although she said that, winning looked impossible.
Seer's sixth sense wasn't merely a substitute for sight. It was something way more complex. Mirror herself was very far from unlocking the full potential of that ability, but she was good enough to sense things no human would be able to sense.
Not only was Mirror able to know the position of her opponents, she could sense the fact that blue skin of the Two Mouths was harder than steel. She could feel that the claws of these monsters could chop her head of. She could feel even more abstracts things, like the fact that theses monsters were not really living beings, but something else. She could even feel... death. These things killed people before.
All of her sense were telling her to run away... but if she did so, Alice would end up dying.
Therefore, her only choice was to fight.
One of the monstruosity got to her before the other.
And tried to pierce her heart with one of his claw.
Considering the speed of the attack, dodging was impossible...
...But Mirror dodged anyway.
And, in a swift motion, following nothing but her instinct and her supernatural sixth sense, she targeted the monster upper mouth with her sword.
The sword, wich wasn't stopped by the near-unbreakable skin of the Two Mouths, pierced the abomination's brain, killing it on the spot.
There was blood everywhere.
Mirror laughed.
"You bastards thinks you have a chance ? Give up already !"
The other two approached.
Mirror parried the first attack, and akwardly jumped sideways to avoid a second.
Her counter attacks were unforgiving.
One of the Two-Mouths was decapitated by a sword that couldn't possibly cut his throat, and the other was thrown on the ground and quickly beaten to death by a girl which wasn't even half as heavy as him.
Mirror was out of breath, uninjured yet in pain.
"I overdid it..."
The strange power that let her overpower evrything on her path... at first Mirror thought it was some sort of gift, a bonus given by the Godess of Light to her Lightbringers.
But this power... wasn't related to the Godess in any way, Mirror was sure of it. Rather, it was a twisted and cursed power, one she had to avoid using if possible.
This power... was the most basic and simple form of sorcery, or magic, Body Strenghtening.
Thing was, in one of her numerous visions, Mirror saw.
She saw what kind of price a person had to pay to use magic.
And she really didn't like what she saw.
Suddenly, something attracted Mirror's focus.
A large group of Two Mouths was approaching.
And this time it wasn't just one, two or three of these monsters. It was twenty-two.
Each of them was capable of killing Mirror in just one or two good hits.
Mirror's grip around her sword tightened. She realized she was shaking.
Scared, she was scared.
And fear made her thoughts wanders all around the place.
"What... am I ?"
This moment was not the best to have an existential crisis, yet Mirror could not help it.
There was no denying she wasn't human. She was just a copy of Alice. An imperfect copy, that did not think like the original.
Technically, Mirror was only a few days old, because all of her existence on Earth, wasn't really her existence, in a strange way.
Yet... it really felt as if she was a thirteen years old girl. All of Alice's life, all of her past... in a way, this was also something that belonged to Mirror.
And that name too...at first, she was against it, but, truth be told, Alice was kind of right.
She wasn't Alice, she was a strange and absurd being that tried to act like a human.
Her existence was meaningless.
No.
There was a meaning.
The only person who she considered to be her friend, a person with whom she shared the past. The person she understood the most. The person who gave her a name, when she was nothing more than a hollow clone. A person whose life mattered more to her than even her own.
Alice.
If she failed to slaughter the twenty two opponents that were getting closer and closer, not only her, but Alice would die as well.
So, Mirror forgot her fear. To protect Alice, she had to do it.
To protect the "original".
Mirror smiled.
"I won't lose."
There was confidence in her voice.
Instead of just waiting for the Two Mouths to show up, she walked in their dorection.
Of course, that would means that a monster could sneak up and kill Alice while she was away, but Mirror knew that wouldn't happen.
Because her sixth sense was never wrong.
Mirror "looked" at the twenty two abominations in front of her. Each of them reeked the scent of dead.
Mirror tried to guess how many mans it would take to kill even one of these being.
Considering how durable and fast they were, at least six... no, seven, experienced human warriors, if sorcery wasn't used.
"Sorry guys, but I won't lose."
The group of Two Mouths lunged at her like one big creature trying to eat her whole.
But Mirror was small.
More than that, she was fast.
None of the Two Mouths managed to catch her, and instead, some of their limbs were cut.
By a sword that couldn't possibly cut them.
Then, Mirror was rapidly circled by the Two Mouths, showing that the creatures had at least some rudimentary form of intelligence.
They surely thought that if Mirror was unable to escape, then killing her would be easy was probably making a lot of sense in the monster's mind. After all, even if Mirror was fast and strong, her body could not whithstand a lot of hit.
Right ?
Yet, when a monster tried to cut Mirror's head of, the claws broke against the pale skin of the little girl.
Because Mirror was using the Sky's most powerful force: magic.
And although she had been using this force for only a few days, Mirror was a genius beyond reason, since she was already able to reinforce her sword using magic.
Now, she was doing something much more impressive.
Actual... spells. Spells that she never learnt, but was still able to use.
A Magic Shield.
A Fireball.
A Lightning Bolt.
The fight became messier and messier, with the monsters flying everywhere.
The impossible was happening.
Mirror was winning.
Using Seer's sixth sense, Mirror was able to easily predict most of the attacks coming her way, and either block them using her Magic Shield, parry it with her sword, or just avoid it.
For offense, she stopped caring about the price she was going to pay at some point, because if she did, then she would have died under the Two Mouths' attacks. She was throwing extremly destructive spells left and right.
Of course, such a show of power was painful.
Extremly painful.
Actually, very few things were more painful than what Mirror was experiencing. Things like giving birth or being burned alive were, but not by a whole lot.
It was so painful that Mirror ended up crying. Her tears rolled down her cheeks, and ended up falling on her clothes.
Yet, Mirror didn't stop.
She couldn't let any of the monsters live.
And in the end...
Because of a little girl's madness, they all died.
Mirror had made the impossible happens.
She... won.
