"That, I can not answer, Steph…" replied Jaden in a morose manner. He could see the pain and suffering on Stephan's face. It was as if Stephan was fighting with accepting the possibility of what they were thinking about. Momentarily, they forgot about the people who were listening to them. What they had to deal with occupied their thoughts so much so that they didn't even notice when Joe and Simon left the office.
The minister watched the vampires discuss among themselves and he could tell it was about family matters. He couldn't imagine that someone had been giving Prince Stephan poison to drink – and they had even said it had been going on for many eras.
