"Surprisingly, the men are fine, Jaden..." Stephan said as he approached where Jaden sat. Something was off about the way Jaden remained in the same position that Stephan had left him. Stephan hurried painfully to Jaden and held his brother's head up. He heard Jaden grunt but he was not making any sense or speaking audibly.
"Jaden? Jaden?" Stephan called incessantly but got no response.
"Bring me more water..." ordered Stephan, without looking at Paul.
"And get me a live pig. Now!"
Paul couldn't understand what he just heard but he did as he was told. Quickly, he told the owner of the inn to get water for the vampires as he hurried to get the animal Stephan requested.
