Zuri wasn't in the mood to respond to anyone. She didn't feel she could speak and definitely not to the high-spirited Kathy and Sandra. She could hear their voices call out to her but Zuri just couldn't get herself to move from the position she was in.
She felt some relief when she heard their footsteps walking away. Zuri felt Kathy especially would understand what she was going through. At least, she had told her about the girl that had come into the palace.
She wrapped her arms around her knees as she rocked back and forth in a bid to console herself. And in that position. Zuri slept off after she had wept for another ten minutes.
