"Why aren't you answering me?" Eliza questioned, walking around Jaden so as to look at his face directly. The destroyed table lay in between them as she continued to question him.
"Leave my chambers," Jaden said finally, with his gaze on the ground, focused on nothing in particular aside from the images he could see with his mind's eye.
"What?"
"Leave my chambers, Eliza. I don't know how to lay my hands on a lady. Don't make me learn," Jaden warned.
"You wouldn't dare!" she said in a low voice.
"Don't push me. Now is not the time. Leave, Eliza." He needed her out of his presence. He needed her to take her squealing and nagging far away from him.
"It's because of that lowly thing, right?! Is she the one that got you all riled up?!"
