Meanwhile, Tom POV
I and rest of us was in the car, going round and round in the forest.
"This way, no that way" Maria kept on instructing
"God knows why I'm not able to figure out the road." She whispered to herself which I heard as I was sitting next to her.
Micheal was driving my car, besides his was Shawn. I was in between Maria and Alan. Alan was still lying unconscious over there.
"This network is really useless, they keep on advertising that their SIM card works on any mountain and stuff, I'm gonna sue them for such fake advertisements." Shawn said in irritation. He seems the most annoyed
Suddenly the car stopped
"What happened? Why did u stop?" Maria asked Micheal
"It stopped working." Micheal said as he was trying to restart the car.
"If it because of the petrol than I....." as I was about to tell him that we do have extra petrol. He cuts me off,
"No, it's not because of the petrol honestly."
"I'm already having a very bad feeling about this." Maria said
Micheal got down and started checking the engine.
We all do went out with our flashlight.
"All okay?" I asked Micheal.
"Everything actually seems okay, I don't know why it's not functioning." Micheal said with doubt on his forehead.
I checked the engine too, Everything seems okay. it was really very strange. We all were stuck in this thick dangerous jungle and now the vehicle had stopped working too.
I sensed that something was moving behind me. I looked back there was nothing. Maria looked shocked.
I slowly approached her," What did you see? I did feel presence of some spirit or an entity." I said
She kept quiet, trying to figure out.
"I think I need to go....." Maria said to all of
"No, You aren't going anywhere here." Shawn commanded. He did say that Maria own good only.
"I need sandalwood to get back to my proper senses to get my pyschic abilities, someone in this forest is playing with me, making me emotional so drained that I ain able to figure up things." She blabbed, I wasn't able to understand one word she said.
Suddenly we all heard someone shouting, "Serena, Serena." I literally freaked out at that moment.
Everyone was scared like hell, Shawn was literally shivering.
"It Is Alan" Maria said pointing inside a car. A sense of relaxation hitted my body.
"He is dreaming" Maria announced and then took s bottle of water and threw on his face.
He regained his consciousness and was in a panic.
"Chill chill" Maria said holding him up. All of us got back into the car.
Maria gaved a bottle of water to Alan. He drank and took seconds to understand what was going on. After he got a bit of comfortable in his surroundings.
He questioned, "Where am I? and where is Serena and the rest of the crew."
We explained him that we found his lying on the banks of the river. He recollected everything and started sobbing, We all were puzzled. He looked at me in sympathy in his eyes
"Serena, she-" He said and had a complete breakdown
"What happened to her? Is she okay?" I asked in a hurry. I was in a complete panic situation.
"She is gone" He said
"Gone where?" Shawn questioned.
Alan ended up telling us the whole story. I was shocked as hell, I started crying like a kid too not able to understand what to do next.
"I'm an idiot, I should never let her go out all by herself." I started crying. Shawn and Micheal got emotional too.
"Guys, wait. I think Serena is all fine." Maria said
"She probably survived the the lake and was all okay but now she might need our help, we need to figure the road and find her as soon as possible." Maria said
"How are you so sure?" Micheal asked
"Gut feeling" She replied without any expressions on her face.
By now I was aware abt the fact that Maria wasn't any ordinary human being, so I gathered all courage and told myself that everything's gonna be okay and Seri is gonna be all fine.
Suddenly Micheal tried operating the car one more time
"It started working." He shouted in happiness
"What a miracle!" Shawn exclaimed
