I awake to the steady pattern of rain upon my window. The sound brings a calmness of mind, a natural melody. With eyes at rest, I feel my soul live happily within myself for those wonderful moments of solitude. Soon I return to the moment, the drop of rain becomes like giggling bells bringing heavy and slight notes.
To my own discovery I'm in my bed stretched out across it's cotton resemble sheet, the blanket was soft and gravy like the fur of a puppy that you'd sleep with as a pillow. I didn't want to move from my spot but I had to go to classes today, cause of the tests. Pushing the soft cotton blanket off my chest, I sat up in exhaustion, my hair fell across my face in a scattered mess.
I suddenly feel the light vibration of my phone erode beside me. Fixing my hair back I look down to grab my phone, it was missed calls from various numbers and tons of messages.
The time reads 9:30am, causing sheer panic to flush through my body and soul.
"FUCK I'M LATE". My first test in the academy and I'm about to be late, "Ugh where is Maya?"
I had a nervous breakdown as I panicked to get myself ready for the day. Eventually getting out of the bed fast and unsteadily. The voice of Luna pulled my attention from the life I had to attend.
"I've been calling you, and why aren't you dressed up? plus your late".
"Luna where is Maya? she didn't even waked me up" I asked instead.
"She's already in her class, she's the one who sent me to you saying you were sleeping like a baby so she could not wake you up" Luna looking up rolling her eyes then looking back down she explained to me. Out of nowhere she placed her hand on my left ear dragging it along with her to the bathroom, I had no choice but to follow her. "Now wash up quickly I will be waiting for you outside" she said and let go of my ear.
I washed up quickly and dressed up in order to avoid more time wasting. I rushed to class with Luna half ready and unfocused, wearing my school jacket in order for me to be permitted into the class. Still, in due time, despite my ever so late efforts, I arrived in the huge classroom over 40 students in it and no teacher to control them. I tied to keep my eyes on the time but my focus was dragged to some group of boys who kept on arguing about a fight that happened last night, Ostensively they were all from the house of both Lucius and Lancelot. Turning my eyes towards my right was a boy sited beside me name Kia, he has a dark brown hair concentrated on his eyes, a white skin jade with like skin that match up with his red lips and slender face.
"Excuse me" Kia turned to face me.
"Yes" I responded.
"You weren't present last night" he asked.
"Yeah, what happened?" I instead asked.
"Didn't you know that your house along with Lancelot house had a big fight last night". One blondes hair said.
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't know the whole the whole information but man, that fight was tough" Kia said while sitting properly on his chair.
"Like Heli said I wonder what must have caused the fight this time around" the blond hair girl whispered from across her seat.
" Okay everyone sit down the test would be starting now" the teacher annoyingly interrupted. Soon enough the test finally ended at 12pm then the lunch bell rang.
*RING *RING *RING*
I left quickly to the cafe to meet up with Maya, when I got to the lunch room it wasn't so chocked which was nice, but soon as "THE QUINTUPLETS" entered behind me, there was loud whispers and abrupt increase in female and male bodies which should've been expected since they're literally the most popular students in the academy with charming looks. On top of that, unlike everybody else their entrance and presence wasn't normal to the slightest degree, even if they are all vampires instead, it was some grand entrance that had to have been directed by a director or something. They had the whole ominous chill appear from nowhere like they're Satan or some sort of God.
As my eyes turned on Lucius who was looking like a Mafia boss in a story. "Your also looking at them?" Maya asked. I let out a heavy sigh as soon as my eyes caught up to the small figure of Maya seating beside me.
"Why didn't you wake me up this morning? I fired her.
"Well at least you made it in time for the test" Maya laugh.
"Wow if it isn't Heli who went on a date and forgot all about us" Draco smirked as he sits down.
"Good as he never showed up, beside his presence wasn't need" Aamon quickly attacked me with his words.
"Here he goes again" Luna rolled her eyes.
"You both still acts like humans don't you?" Ozul said in a low and raspy voice dragging the attention of Maya.
"I heard there was a fight between you guys and Lancelot house?"
"Yeah which you missed" said Aamon with an attitude.
"Heli you will be accompanying me to somewhere tonight" Lucius finally spoke out.
"O, that's right Heli would you like to participate on the coming event" Draco said slyly.
"Upcoming event" I muttered.
"That's right he's going to be a great candidate" Aamon rubs his chin while getting out a little chuckle.
"Ugh, you don't have to participate if you don't want to" Luna insisted.
"Just what is this even?" Maya asked.
"It's like a tournament between various houses in the academy it's called *FIGHT THE BLOOD* which only happens once a year, abd it's know for it's calm style of fighting that involved no weapon allowed" Lucius steadily explained as everyone of us followed him word by word.
"So wouldn't it be a great idea to have you participate in it" Draco held back his excitement, trying to convince me.
"Am not a good fighter, it would be a waste having me in such tournament" I sigh with my eyes closed.
Maya scoffed " You just don't know to lie do you? remember that event with those ware wolf's, you actually kind of saved us so I would like you to participate in the tournament, it's going to make sense" Pause. "and it's a way for you to get stronger so that you can save me Heli". Maya insisted with looks of high hopes.
I ran my hand through my hair. "Okay fine, I'll do it...."
"Hurray" Luna and Maya happily jumped on their feet in excitement.
"Such a waste of time" Aamon grint his teeth.
"So will you all participate in the tournament" I asked shifting everyone's attention to me.
"Nope you and all the first year students will be participating, but don't worry we will be watching" Ozul said with pleasure filled in his tone.
"What have I gotten my self into" I muttered.
