As the three of them made their way towards the rift, Sen couldn't help but feel a sense of elation. He had done something that he'd only really dreamed of doing in his past life. The idea of taming and befriending a giant beast, and said beast was a doggo, was just amazing. "Titanella, there's something I'm a little curious about. Have those from the upper realms of of Canisoris ever ventured down to a lower realm like this one?"
Titanella was surprised by this question, she didn't think that a human from another dimension would possess this kind of knowledge. She decided to ask Sen about this, "Sen Direndal, from Centropai, how did you come to know about our ranking system? Please answer my question before I answer your one, to say that it is rare to possess this knowledge, that would be an understatement."
'She has a point, I only know about the existence of their hierarchy because of the Omni System. I need to come up with a believable reason, the System itself isn't something that can just be explained.'
"Well, to be honest, after I first awakened my powers, I did extensive reading about just about everything. We have quite the library at home, although I doubt that it could compare to the libraries that were created by the Noble Wolfhounds."
Titanella seemed satisfied with that answer, "I see! Whoever wrote those books must have visited all of the canine realms in order to gain that knowledge, that's not just something you can make up."
'[Shop]'
Sen quickly opened the Shop window and searched for a book about the "canine realms".
He quickly found what he was looking for.
{Title: "Realms of the Alpha Hound: A Canine Odyssey"
Author: Sindra Berlock
Cost: Ⱡ 250}
Sen immediately bought the book, and it was immediately delivered to his inventory. That would help to clear up any misunderstandings when they didn't find the book in the actual library. The only challenge would be sneaking it in there without Martha or Titanella noticing.
{If I may be of service, I can place the book on one of the shelves in the appropriate location!}
'WAIT! YOU CAN DO THAT?'
{Of course I can, I, the Omni System, can do just about anything, as long as you've met the level requirement for it. The level requirement is Level 35, and you reached that after completing your contract with Titanella! Would you like me to transport the book from your inventory to your library at home?}
'Yes, that would be amazing! Wait, I just thought of something, would a Library also be one of the functions that I'll unlock in the future?'
{Yes! You will unlock the Library along with another ability at Level 50, you will also start to gain more abilities more frequently from that point on, make sure to also buy them from the shop.}
'Alright then, I look forward to finding out how that works! Yeah, I'll definitely start to buy more abilities once I've gained enough proficiency with my current abilities. Actually, I'll tell you what, is there a book containing a lot of Martial Arts in the Shop?'

"What are you thinking about Sen Direndal, from Centropai?"
Sen gave the large dog a deadpan and she looked at him quizzically. "Just call me Sen, I get that the residents of the canine realms have a specific form of address for those from another dimension, but we're going back to my world, so there's no need to be so formal! As to what I was thinking about, I was just wondering how we're going to fit you into our house!"
Titanella laughed at that, amused. "I see, I will try my best to start calling you only by your name, and not your epithet, Sen! And don't worry about me fitting into your house, I can can increase and decrease my size anytime I want to. Of course, this current size is both my default and maximum one at the moment!"
Sen breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good to know, my wife's contract beast is a giant cat and he can also change his size. Don't worry, I know that the myths about you guys being at each other's throats are all false!"
"Your wife? Oh, that human, Martha is your wife? I can see why, she is both strong and beautiful. It looks like we're about to reach the rift, we can talk more about this later."
Sen stared at Titanella, and then at Martha, who then looked back at him in confusion. "Yes, it's probably best if we talk about these things later, we'll be meeting up with the rest of the guild soon."
Titanella looked interested then, "So you are part of a guild, what is the name of your guild?"
Sen chuckled, and Titanella looked a little nonplussed, "Mooncry! I think that you'll like our emblem too when you see it."
Titanella became much more excited then, and broke into a slow run towards the rift, before jumping through, Martha immediately sped up so that she wouldn't be left behind.
It seemed that there was a welcoming party waiting on the other side of the rift, Sen immediately recognised Peter among the ones at the front. Peter immediately smiled once he caught sight of Sen atop the giant doggo. "Welcome back Sen! I see that Martha decided to take you with, I see that you've already managed to establish your first beast contract! I knew that scouting you would be the right idea. Guildmaster, was your expedition worthwhile?"
Martha walked up to Peter, hands on hips, "I'm still angry at you for scouting my husband without my permission, anyone else is fine, but family is a different matter! Aside from that, Canisoris is a stunning realm, and it seems that the dimension also contains upper realms. Thanks to Sen, we may me able to gain another dimension for the cross-dimensional alliance in the near future! It was a part of the contract that Sen made with Titanella, a Pupling from Canisoris."
Peter stared at the giant dog before chuckling nervously, both at Martha's earlier comment and at the fact that she had referred to the dog as a "Pupling", "You're saying that she's still basically a puppy? I guess it makes sense, after all, Canisoris is the realm of giant dogs."
Martha nodded, "Yes, when I first scouted the rift, I caught sight of what looked like a walking mountain in the distance, it did catch me off guard. It seems that Sindra Berlock has already been there, as usual, which is why I already knew the name of that particular realm."
Peter looked as though he was sweating bullets, "Walking... mountain? Sounds terrifying!"
Titanella immediately glowered at him reproachfully, and he waved his hands in a calming gesture, "I meant no disrespect of course, it's just that it's very rare to come in contact with a Cataclysm level beast!"
Titanella seemed to puff up with pride, letting out a proud "Woof!"
Sen then jumped down from Titanella's back before standing in front of the rest of the guild members present. "I guess that now is as good a time as any to introduce myself, sorry for not doing so earlier. Martha had already contacted me earlier so I'm sorry if that caused any confusion earlier. My name is Sen Direndal, husband of Martha Direndal! It's great to finally meet all of you!"
The reactions of the other guild members present seemed to range from astonishment, to excitement, and even to downright disbelief. A dark-skinned woman, with flowing Magenta-coloured hair separated herself from the crowd and purposefully walked towards Sen.
"We already received news of our guildmaster's recent marriage, but I did not think that we would become acquainted with you so soon! My name is Ravenna Odenpark, I am the Vice-Guildmaster!"
She had a rich voice, and to Sen, it sounded as though she came from Frigo, one of the larger countries in the great Southern Vento continent. (A/N: This world's version of Brazil, in South America.)
"Why don't you join all of us in town for the rest of the afternoon, and maybe into the evening too? You are also welcome to join us Martha."
Martha beamed at this suggestion, "That sounds like a wonderful idea Ravenna! You'll come, won't you Sen? This is a great time to make new friends with your fellow guildmates! Bring Titanella along too, plenty of people hang around in town with their contracted beasts."
Sen smiled, he could feel himself brimming with anticipation and excitement. "I'd love to, Titanella, you may want to reduce your size a lot."
The giant dog immediately shrank down to about a quarter of her original size.
She still stood at around 5Ft, 4 Inches in height, and she was still quite wide, but now she'd at least be able to walk alongside the guild members comfortably. She wagged her tail with excitement, "A bonding experience with your guild would be fantastic! I'm already looking forward to it, I hope that I can try some of that wonderful booze I've heard so much about!"
The rest of the guild members looked on in awe at the two of them talking with each other, and they all began to gain a sense of newfound respect for their new guildmate. It was a rare trait after all, not many Beast contractors gained an animal whisperer trait immediately after the contract was formed! Sen and Titanella walked over to join their new guildmates, it had been a long time since Sen had been drunk, he knew that he'd have to monitor Titanella when she drank though. He did not like the idea of having to clean up after a giant-drunken dog, not one bit!
That's another chapter done! A few more will come out tomorrow! As usual, leave a review/rating, and maybe a power stone! This is also completely optional! Until next time, peace out!
