As the mana flowed into the crystal, it immediately emitted an azure light. The power of the mana was measured by the crystal's response— the brighter the glow, the more potent the user's abilities. However, in Seraphine's case, since she used the artifact to assist in mana transfer, the power wasn't exceptionally strong, but it wasn't weak either.

"Water element, grade 3, not bad at all. Please move on and wait for the rest," the instructor announced. She inspected the mana flow in the crystal, recorded the result on her paper, and directed other applicants to continue the test, while those who had completed it had to wait on the side.

At this stage, the applicants' examination results were classified into grades. Grade 5 was the lowest, not preferred by the academy, while grade 1 represented prodigious applicants excelling in the test.
