Chapter 72 - Starry night

As Seraphine opened the box, she discovered a small ring embedded with dark jewels, radiating a noticeable aura of mana. It was evident to Seraphine that this was no ordinary ring.

"Oh, this artifact is truly interesting..." Suddenly, Lyla appeared behind Seraphine and Beatrice, catching them off guard. Lyla was renowned for her expertise in artifacts and inventions, and her green eyes sparkled with interest as she examined the ring inside the box.

"Hey, Lyla, don't scare them like that," Iris chided as she approached the three of them, holding a glass of wine. It seemed Lyla's intense curiosity had momentarily made her forget about her surroundings and the people around her.

"I'm sorry; it seems I rudely interrupted both of you," Lyla apologized with an embarrassed tone, stepping back. Despite her position as a witch, she still had a timid personality when it came to dealing with people.
