Chapter 120 - First day

As days swept by like a fleeting wind, the academy semester finally commenced. Many students still harbored fatigue and reluctance for the academy to begin, yet they were compelled to attend the initial classes.

First-year classes primarily focused on fundamental subjects mandatory for all students. What added to the annoyance was the obligatory attendance requirement; students who have attendance less than 80% would be ineligible to take the exams. 

This condition triggered memories of Seraphine's past when she attended law school. It had been a harrowing experience for her, struggling through classes where the professor's teachings were incomprehensible. At times, self-study proved more efficient than enduring poorly-taught classes.

For the fundamental classes that all students had to enroll in, students were grouped into smaller sections with different instructors. The instructors varied in their teaching styles, ranging from tough to laid-back.
