Could you imagine six people, with only half of their normal bodies left, looking dispirited, suddenly surrounding you, staring at you, repeatedly uttering the same chilling words?
This scene, to say the least, was terrifying!
Even the Armored Spider-Man, despite his bravery, was startled by their actions.
Then, a hint of anger rose within him.
These individuals, though former victims, now seemed like perpetrators from their appearance!
And here they were, boasting!
A fierce resolve ignited within him. He grabbed the jaw of one male Namurrah in front of him and demanded, "Speak! Who is behind you?! Where is your base?!"
"Hahaha!" The male Namurrah laughed heartily.
Another Namurrah nearby shouted, "The great master is crossing through that door from the darkness. You're doomed, Spider-Man!"
A thought raced through the Armored Spider-Man's mind, 'Could the mastermind be about to appear? What does it mean to cross through that door from the darkness?'
Suddenly, his spider-sense started violently trembling.
"What... What is this?"
The Armored Spider-Man tensed his entire body.
He sensed a great terror rapidly approaching, like a heavy storm cloud bearing down on him, suffocating him.
Crack—
Suddenly, a dazzling light portal appeared behind the Armored Spider-Man.
"A bunch of useless beings who can't even catch a spider, leaving me no choice but to come in person." Morlun stepped out of the light portal, his voice cold.
"Who are you?" The Armored Spider-Man suppressed his wildly alert spider-sense, turning to face Morlun.
Morlun rubbed his forehead with his hand. "Ah, who am I? This question again. I've had the same conversation with countless versions of you across numerous worlds countless times. Such a nuisance. But you're just someone who'll soon become my meal. Why waste words?"
Morlun lunged towards the Armored Spider-Man.
To the Armored Spider-Man's surprise, the previously infallible spider-sense was now ineffective.
Faced with Morlun's attack, he had to rely solely on his combat experience rather than the instinct triggered by the spider-sense!
This was unprecedented!
"Oh? Seems like you have some skills," Morlun smirked. "Perfect, let's take my legion of Namurrah for a stroll!"
As he spoke, his eyes suddenly turned white, emitting a faint glow.
Simultaneously, following his command, figures broke out of a laboratory at the nearby Ikigami Medical Center.
Each figure was a "Namurrah"!
Evidently, this was Morlun's "Namurrah Legion" created in this world!
Each Namurrah had their lower body amputated, replaced by prosthetic limbs resembling mechanical spider legs, while wearing a mouthpiece similar to a diving respirator on their heads.
In reality, this mouthpiece was a neural control device connected to the brain's nerves.
With this device, they could achieve mental control over the members of the Namurrah Legion.
This was similar to Verna's "Hounds."
However, Verna's Hounds followed an elite route, and each Hound, in their respective worlds, was a super villain capable of causing havoc.
Meanwhile, Morlun's Namura Legion was a mass-produced force.
From a distance, he manipulated this world, invaded the body of Kaori Ikigami's daughter - Hannah Ikigami. He then used this body to control Kaori, leveraging the Ikigami Medical Center's mechanical exoskeletons and biotechnology to create this half-mechanical army for him.
Individually, their combat prowess might not match Verna's Hounds, but their numbers were vast, and he didn't care about their deaths.
—Because they could be mass-produced!
With the Namura Legion's uprising, the city immediately plunged into a massive crisis.
Namuras, half-mechanical beings, wreaked havoc everywhere.
They selected some robust individuals fitting the modification criteria and abducted them to the Ikigami Medical Center. Wherever they went, a trail of slaughter followed, and the city echoed with cries of agony.
Law enforcement swiftly reacted, but conventional firearms were utterly ineffective against these half-mechanical beings. It often took several officers to barely contain a single Namura.
The city's police force was already stretched thin, and the absence of Armor Spider-Man, who usually assisted in such crises, made matters worse.
Utilizing his detectors and familiarity with the city, Armor Spider-Man narrowly escaped Morlun's clutches multiple times. However, he couldn't entirely shake off the latter's pursuit.
Morlun calmly chased after him, his eyes faintly glowing. Dealing with Mark, who managed to kill Daemos and Brix in the prolonged hunting life of the inheritor family, didn't pose much pressure. Deaths were not unfamiliar in their line of work. Often, a few siblings together could take down an opponent in such situations. If needed, their father, Solus, was also there!
Therefore, Morlun continued to leisurely play the cat-and-mouse game, simultaneously admiring the havoc wreaked by his half-mechanical army in this world.
"Yes, yes, that's it! Destroy to your heart's content!" Hearing the cries from all around, Morlun couldn't help but smirk. He immensely enjoyed this unparalleled sense of pleasure.
"No wonder Verna always enjoys hunting with her Hounds; it's precisely this feeling!"
Some rejoice while others suffer.
Morlun's joy was evidently built upon the suffering of Armor Spider-Man. As he fled, Armor Spider-Man encountered numerous Namura half-mechanicals rampaging and abducting people. But he dared not pause because Morlun was hot on his heels, flying at a steady pace. If he slowed down even slightly, that guy would catch up!
The feeling of helplessness, being unable to assist them, left Armor Spider-Man somewhat despairing. Simultaneously, there was an overwhelming sense of powerlessness.
"What should I do to end all of this?"
Buzz—
His spider senses stirred again.
Instinctively, Armor Spider-Man looked towards the direction of the sensation and witnessed an unforgettable scene! A figure abruptly appeared atop a nearby skyscraper.
—--—
Mark's eyes squinted slightly.
The moment he arrived, he sensed what was unfolding in the city. Without hesitation, he clenched his fist and raised it high into the sky.
Boom! Crack!
Radiant silver serpents descended from the sky. Guided by tremendous mental strength, precise lightning strikes hit every Namura half-mechanical who was idle or en route to destruction.
Just this one move resulted in more than half of Morlen's Namura legion being devastated!
Noticing this, Morlun's expression darkened.
He swiftly turned to Mark. "Are you this world's Thor?"
"Thor? Of course not, I'm still not that strong... but.. " Mark tipped his toes and appeared next to Morlen. "Morlun, you seem to have forgotten a lot. You've even forgotten this dear ol' me."
"That voice sounds familiar. It's you! The dimension traveler from Universe 311 who stopped me!" Morlun exclaimed, shocked. "Wait, does this mean you're also the one who killed Daemos and Brix?!"
Mark said, "You guessed well, but unfortunately, no prize."
However, Morlun chuckled, "Ahaha! We were just about to look for you! Didn't expect you to show up voluntarily, so..."
Mark sensed something and was somewhat surprised, "No way, are you trying to call for reinforcements?"
Morlun paused, and his expression froze.
He was a bit annoyed by Mark's sarcasm.
Mark continued, "Tsk tsk, didn't expect this. Morlun, the lawless villain who thinks he's the inheritor of everything, actually needs to call for help to save his own life. Tsk tsk tsk."
As he spoke, Mark shook his head slightly. It seemed like he was lamenting Morlun's downfall.
Even Morlun, for a moment, felt like his actions were causing significant harm.
Immediately, he became somewhat annoyed, "Who said I was calling for reinforcements? I'm calling my subordinates! If you can come to help him, I can call my subordinates too, right?"
Mark nodded seriously, "No problem, then go ahead and call."
Morlun indeed began to summon his subordinates.
The armored Spider-Man looked at Mark, then at Morlun. This eerie atmosphere made him feel somewhat perplexed.
"Uh, excuse me, who are you?"
Mark pointed at Morlun, "That guy is a villain who freely roams through multiple universes hunting Spider-Men. There are several others like him."
Morlun looked at Mark with surprise.
He hadn't expected Mark to have some knowledge about their family.
Mark glanced at him and smiled.
That self-assured look made Morlun frown inwardly.
But he didn't dwell on it too much; he continued to summon his half-mechanical Namurrah subordinates while secretly calling his siblings!
Yes.
Morlun was ostensibly in contact with his Namurrah subordinates, but in reality, having witnessed Mark's recent lightning attack, he knew these half-mechanical subordinates couldn't match Mark.
So, his real goal was to stall for time and let his siblings arrive!
Upon receiving Morlun's signal, Daemos, Brix, and Bora, waiting in the Earth-001 universe, stood up and headed towards this world.
Meanwhile, Verna sent her Hound Legion from the Earth-001 universe and simultaneously called back the Vulture army that was hunting Spider-Men in the Earth-94 universe.
Simultaneously, Jennix brought nearly a hundred clone guards from the Earth-802 universe and headed through the portal toward this world!
Without any surprises, Mark was about to face the danger of being surrounded by the minions of six inheritors and nearly five hundred of their followers!
However, at this moment, Mark was still chatting and laughing with the Armored Spider-Man!
