"Is this world's Spider-Man? Why does he have six arms? Well, spiders do have eight legs, so could this be the correct Spider-Man form?"
Gwen and Mark stood in a corner of the street, looking in the direction of the 94th Spider. Gwen raised a reasonable question.
"He's like this due to genetic mutation," Mark explained, somewhat incredulous at Gwen's wild imagination. "But according to this world's original trajectory, if left unchecked, he could indeed turn into a spider monster with six arms and eight eyes. This is one of the reasons we came here."
"Gosh," Gwen shuddered at the mental image. "Thank goodness I didn't go through that. I won't turn into a monster, right?"
Mark lowered his head and couldn't resist giving her a kiss on her forehead. "Of course not. Even if your spider genes caused any side effects, I could just remove them for you."
"Mmm," Gwen responded.
At this moment, a burly man wearing a tight suit with a skull pattern appeared on a rooftop on the opposite side.
He looked down at the 94th Spider from a higher vantage point, completely ignoring the police officers below, and said, "Six arms? Combat Record: 1195.3, Spider-Man appears in the front direction. No matter how many arms he has, I will defeat him!"
With that, the man picked up a set of armor from the side and put it on.
"Who's that?" Gwen, following Mark's direction, also saw this man and inquired.
Mark's eyes revealed a tinge of nostalgia. "He's called the Punisher, originally a member of the United States Marine Corps. After his family was murdered by criminal elements, he began seeking vengeance against all criminal activities."
"Is he a superhero too?" Gwen asked with curiosity, her experiences crossing parallel universes really broadening her horizons.
Mark shook his head slightly. "Strictly speaking, he's an anti-hero. Unlike the 'no-killing' philosophy of most superhero teams, his philosophy is 'if you're guilty, you must die.' So teams like the Avengers have refused to accept him."
"Why is that?" Gwen felt that something must have happened to him to make him so extreme.
Mark explained, "After he left the military, one day, he was having a picnic in the park with his wife and child and happened to witness some of the criminal syndicate's secrets. The whole family was killed as a result."
"Having been miraculously revived, he used his intelligence and resources to find the killers and sought legal means to bring them to justice. However, the criminals managed to escape punishment through various methods and legal loopholes."
"After losing all hope in the justice system, he chose to resort to violence to seek justice for his wife and child and administer deadly retribution to any criminals he encountered."
Hearing Mark's words, Gwen turned her head to look at him and remarked, "So, he's quite your cup of tea, isn't he?"
Having spent this time getting to know her boyfriend better, she had come to understand his character to some extent.
In reality, Mark's philosophy was indeed quite similar to the Punisher's, both possessing a kind of heroic spirit driven by a sense of righteousness.
However, Mark was not as extreme as the Punisher. For those who had gone astray but hadn't committed serious offenses yet, he was inclined to offer forgiveness. For individuals who had done evil but could turn over a new leaf, Mark would consider whether they should be spared.
For instance, there were two Lizard Doctors in the two different worlds. The one he encountered in the Andrew Spider's world, having seen him kill many people, Mark showed no mercy and killed him directly. But the one brought to Spider-Tom's world, he ultimately let him go. As for individuals he considered irredeemable, he would take severe measures to deal with them.
For example, the Green Goblin.
Apart from the second-generation Green Goblin(Harry) in the Tobey Spider's version, most other Green Goblins are basically hopeless and often cause trouble, just constantly annoying you.
Anyway, if it were Mark, he'd definitely want to get rid of that thing.
Mark chuckled, "It's true; but I'm not as extreme as he is."
Gwen nodded.
If Mark were the type to indiscriminately kill like the Punisher, she would have left him a long time ago.
Although she had reservations about Mark's tendency to kill certain villains, she had grown in her understanding after going through some experiences.
Especially after spending a long time with Mark, her mentality had naturally undergone some changes.
"But you really know a lot about him," Gwen asked curiously.
Mark smiled and said, "In my world, there was an arcade game called 'The Punisher.' There were only two playable characters, one being the guy right in front of us, and the other was Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. The game had lots of weapons and great controls, so it was quite captivating. For a while, my good friend and I used to go play it after school."
"I didn't expect you to be a street-smart arcade game enthusiast," Gwen said with an uncontrollable smile.
"Alright, their little 'intimacy' is over, and I think it's time for us to take action," Mark said.
In the time Mark and Gwen were talking about the Punisher, the situation on the field had changed once again.
The 94th Spider, who had experienced further mutation, found himself in another predicament—his self-made web fluid on his right hand had run out, leaving only a small amount on his left hand.
"Hey, helmet guy, should I call you Silly Head or Iron Head? Can we reschedule this fight for another day? I need to go home for dinner." Even in a dire situation, the 94th Spider couldn't help but quip.
The Punisher stood on the opposite rooftop, gazing coldly at the 94th Spider, giving an order to a van below: "Battle Van, activate the super liquid silicon jet system! Enter the signal, prepare to fire!"
Bang!
From below, a modified camper van shot up a small canister.
The Punisher caught the canister and inserted it into his gun, shooting it at the 94th Spider.
The 94th Spider instinctively tried to escape upwards.
However, what shot out of the gun was not a dangerous weapon, but rather something like a lubricant.
This substance adhered to the entire wall, making it too slippery for the 94th Spider to climb, and he immediately lost his wall-crawling ability and fell downward.
Thud!
The 94th Spider was sent tumbling down from a wall that was about thirty to forty meters high, crashing heavily to the ground with a resounding thud.
"Ouch! My back, my back!" The 94th Spider howled in pain. "You think I'd really yell like that? Actually, my back is fine, but my ribs are killing me. Damn it, why now?"
Boom!
Seeing the 94th Spider lying on the ground, the Punisher's suit immediately sprayed out flames from the jet on his back, descending towards the 94th Spider.
Hearing that the 94th Spider dared to make light-hearted comments in his current condition really infuriated the Punisher.
Thud!
The Punisher heavily crashed down onto the area where the 94th Spider was, ready to give him a resounding blow.
Swoosh—
Just at the crucial moment, the 94th Spider endured the pain and raised his left hand, shooting a strand of webbing toward the overhead police helicopter.
The police helicopter, unexpectedly caught in the crossfire, immediately began to ascend.
And the 94th Spider used this upward force to propel himself into the air.
"Wow! I finally got rid of that maniac. Where did he even come from?" The 94th Spider exclaimed, not sure who his attacker was.
The Punisher coldly watched the sky, unwilling to let the 94th Spider escape once more.
Ignoring his teammates' advice, he ordered the Battle Van to launch onboard missiles.
"Battle Van, activate the Teflon blade mini-missiles! Enter the coordinates; I want to take him out once and for all!"
Bang—
The Van's side launch bay opened, releasing a weapon resembling a handheld rocket launcher.
The Punisher grabbed it, locked onto the 94th Spider in the sky, and decisively pressed the fire button!
The people on the helicopter also noticed the Punisher's actions. "That lunatic, he's aiming a missile launcher at us!"
"That lunatic, what is he trying to do? Oh, dear, is he really trying to blow me and this helicopter up?" The 94th Spider hesitated for a moment and let go of the webbing in his hand.
He didn't want to involve innocent people, even if it meant his own death.
However, the distance between them wasn't that great to begin with, and the speed of the missile after it was fired far exceeded his falling speed.
In the desperate gaze of the people on the helicopter, the missile vanished?
"Huh? Are we okay?"
"Great, we're okay!"
Both of them shouted for joy simultaneously. Although they didn't know what happened, the most important thing was to survive.
As an "outsider" who controlled the situation, the Punisher had a clearer view.
He saw his blade missiles, moments before hitting Spider-Man, suddenly disappear from sight.
Then they reappeared in the nearby sky.
"What's going on?" The Punisher was surprised but decided to first capture the falling 94th Spider.
He pulled out a giant net once again.
As he was about to launch it…
Hmm?
Where did Spider-Man go?
The Punisher stood at the edge of the rooftop, questioning life itself.
"Ah!" The 94th Spider, clutching his sides in pain, rolled on the ground.
Naturally, he had been taken away by Mark using a portal.
In fact, Mark had been wondering all along whether Madame Web, who was secretly observing the 94th Spider, would step in when he was in danger. That's why he allowed the 94th Spider to battle the Punisher.
Unfortunately, Madame Web didn't appear, so he had to intervene.
"Is he about to mutate soon?" Gwen asked with concern.
Mark approached, found the right moment, and used a few strands of webbing to secure all six of the 94th Spider's arms and both of his feet to the ground.
"It seems so. His mutation process is rapidly accelerating," Mark said. "Gwen, watch over him and don't let him move."
"Okay, leave it to me," Gwen walked closer.
Mark squatted down next to the 94th Spider.

Mark transformed into a doctor once again, ready to operate on the 94th Spider's genes.
