Chapter 10 - Episode 2 - The Gamer and Reader (3)

Ha-wook gripped his sword, keeping his guard up as Dong-hyun laughed, his gang joining him, laughing like mad hens that had escaped from the farm. It was irritating to hear.

Min-beom rolled his eyes, annoyed by the laughter. They were being mocked just because they were few, but that didn't mean they couldn't beat these jerks.

"You guys are hilarious! You really think you can win against us?" Dong-hyun laughed as he clenched his teeth and held his sword.

"Are these people serious?" One of Dong-hyun's gang members laughed as they all laughed like maniacs. Jung-Lee's patience was running out as he held his spear, glaring at Dong-hyun's members.

"You bastards are too noisy." Jung-Lee said coldly, and without any hesitation, he attacked one of the members. Min-beom smiled as he went to another member who reacted too slowly. Ha-wook swung his sword with speed as he attacked Dong-hyun.

"WHAT THE HELL?!-" Dong-hyun yelled as Ha-wook grabbed his collar and pushed him to the ground.

"Too scared, kitten?" Ha-wook said as he gave him a cold smile, contrasting with his deadly eyes, staring into his. Dong-hyun flinched, his face was pale.

Seong-mi grabbed one of Dong-hyun's men by the hair and threw him to the ground, making him groan in pain as she stepped on his head, pointing her sword at his neck.

"You're too annoying." She said coldly as the man's face turned pale when he looked up at her.

She kicked the man in the face, making him pass out as she scoffed, she blew a bubblegum in her mouth and popped it, chewing it in her mouth. Seong-mi looked behind, seeing the others charge at her.

"Too slow."

She said coldly as her pink eyes glowed. Her sword dripped blood on the tip as Dong-hyun's members stopped, she cut her arm as her sword glowed red, dripping with blood. She didn't seem to feel any pain when she cut her arm, it only made her stronger.

[Blood Sword Arts [skill] is now Activated!]

A notification appeared above her head as she sneered, blowing another bubble and popping it. The members charged at her as she lunged towards them with her glowing sword.

Jung-Lee grabbed the man by the collar and threw him to the ground, one of Dong-hyun's members ambushed him from behind as his heart skipped a beat, his eyes glowed white when he turned around.

[Hunter's Instinct [skill] is now Activated!]

He attacked them easily, making them lower their guards and was sent to the ground as they groaned in pain. Jung-Lee clenched his teeth as he threw their bats and swords away from them, the two stood up and ran away in fear.

"These people." Jung-Lee muttered under his breath annoyedly as he glanced at the others who were still busy fighting.

Bon-hwa's hands glowed white as Chun-ja stared at it in awe, Dong-hyun's other members were surrounding them, the little girl closed her eyes and there was a big figure appearing in front of them.

The gang members of Dong-hyun stared up at it as the light disappeared, revealing the monster she had summoned, a Rank D wolf-like monster from the previous scenario.

Chun-ja looked up and was shocked, the gang members' faces became pale and dropped their weapons as they ran for their lives.

"Chase them away!" Bon-hwa shouted as she chuckled, the beast she summoned chased the men away. Chun-ja and her white wolf around her shoulder sighed in relief as she looked at Ha-wook and Dong-hyun, fighting.

Min-beom kicked off the man that was trying to kill him as he groaned in pain, his arm was bleeding slightly due to the enemy's sharp blade that almost killed him. The man that was trying to kill him fainted on the ground when he kicked him in the stomach.

'That bastard deserves it.'

Min-beom rolled his eyes as he looked over to the others, he quickly rushed towards Ha-wook and Dong-hyun with speed.

Ha-wook attacked Dong-hyun, Dong-hyun was badly wounded as he fell to the ground, groaning in pain. Ha-wook stopped and pointed the sword at his neck. "Who's the weakling now?" Ha-wook smirked as Dong-hyun dropped his sword to the ground and raised his arms in the air. The gang of Dong-hyun had already run away except for him.

"P-please spare me! Don't kill me please!" Dong-hyun pleaded as Jung-Lee walked towards them, his hand in his pocket, holding his spear.

"You people are the same." Jung-Lee said coldly, his cold eyes piercing through his, making Dong-hyun flinch in fear.

"You look like a coward now."

Min-beom walked up to him, holding his sword tightly then pointed it at his neck, the blade pressing against his skin, making Dong-hyun more terrified.

"Please spare me!" Dong-hyun cried out, begging them to spare his life.

[The character, Choi Dong-hyun is now afraid of you.] A screen appeared in front of Min-beom as he scoffed.

Ha-wook lowered his sword and glared at him. "It's not like he can follow us through the subway."

He said as he turned around, walking towards the underground subway entrance. Jung-Lee followed him as Min-beom lowered his sword. Dong-hyun cried on the ground as Min-beom looked at him, feeling nothing.

Bon-hwa pulled Min-beom's sleeve.

"Ahjussi?" She said softly, looking up at him as Min-beom's eyes widened slightly, he looked down and saw Bon-hwa below. He gave her a warm smile and patted her head. "Hey, Bon-hwa."

The little girl pointed at the underground subway, seeing Ha-wook and the others had already gone in. He smiled at the little girl and messed up her hair.

"Alright, let's go." He said as he held the little girl's hand and went into the subway. They walked down the stairs, their footsteps echoing, every step they took.

Once they reached the subway, they saw a few people hanging out in the subway. Ha-wook was there with the others and they seemed to be talking with new two people, Min-beom couldn't help but take a closer look.

His eyes widened when he saw the two persons they were talking to. Characters from the novel but it wasn't the protagonist at all.

'Ah… another character from the novel, finally.'

He sighed in relief as he walked towards the others, approaching them.

"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" Min-beom said, joining the conversation as Bon-hwa held his hand.

"Oh, perfect timing, Chun-nim." Ha-wook said happily as he cleared his throat. "This nice guy is Park Seo-Joon! The other one is Madam Shin Hanyeong!"

'So, my instincts were right, huh.'

"This guy is Chun Min-beom."

Ha-wook introduced him to the two as he grabbed Min-beom and put his arm around him then laughed. Min-beom laughed awkwardly as he nodded his head slightly in respect.

"Uhm… nice to meet you."

He said, sounding a bit shy. "Hello there, you sound cool." Hanyeong said confidently as she put her hand on her hip, smiling warmly at Min-beom.

"Welcome." Seo-joon said in a friendly tone.

"Thank you." Min-beom smiled awkwardly as Ha-wook removed his arm from him.

"So, uh, I heard that you guys are planning to go somewhere using the subway train?"

Hanyeong asked, raising her eyebrow. "Yes, that is indeed right, Madam." Ha-wook said, chuckling.

"Well, I'm afraid that you guys will have to wait since the train has malfunctioned. This is the only place that has some electricity so, it's normal."
