Kumo No Mura, a small village surrounded by dense trees. The village looks comfortable, cool and peaceful.
Many mythical legends such as Yokai and some other spirits roam the village of Kumo No Mura, although no one has ever witnessed it directly, but the residents have great faith in the lengend of spirits.
In the village lives a high school student named Oikawa Haruki. He is 17 years old, unlike the other citizens who are old-fashioned about Yokai, Haruki actually doesn't believe in such mystical things.
'Things like Yokai are just lies and human imaginations, they are not real,' is the mindset engraved in Haruki's mind since childhood.
Although born into an Oikawa family who mostly lived as shinto priests ( people who perform rituals at shrines ). Haruki is not interested and instead thinks everything mystical is ridiculous.
The Oikawa family also has an old temple called kannon-ji, a temple passed down from generation to generation and will never be neglected by the Oikawa family. They also often perform rituals in kannon-ji.
Although Kannon-ji Temple is so quiet that there are almost no visitors, the Oikawa family is still trying to preserve the temple.
The Oikawa family is not actually a wealthy family like other priests, therefore Haruki thinks that these are all stupid things.
The shrine is just a pest that impoverishes the Oikawa family, when everyone tries to preserve Haruki instead thinks of throwing it away and forgetting.
He argued that there were many other ways to raise up poor families except with temples, but everyone did not want to hear about them.
This is quite natural as the son of the head of the Oikawa family, Haruki actually does not want to preserve his culture, of course his idea will not be recognized.
..._***_...
"Dad is enough! Let's forget about that stupid temple and turn over a new leaf, the Oikawa family will continue to be poor if it continues!"
A teenager dressed in a purple kimono is having a serious conversation with Dad's figure in the living room. he has beautiful brown colored hair with orange colored eyes. His eyes were very sharp, he had a nice revolution, quite realistic, yet the idea was rejected outright.
"You stupid boy! Don't call it'stupid temple' the ancestral inheritance of the Oikawa family, as the head of the family and the son of it, you should follow the idea of this tradition and inherit it!"
The father, Oikawa Hanzo, looked angry, his hair looked white, his face began to wrinkle slightly. Hanzo is the elder of the Oikawa family for now.
And Haruki was supposed to one day become the future head of the family and would be inaugurated, but Haruki's nature that opposed the thoughts of the Oikawa family made some people shun him and not be trusted.
Because of Haruki's nature, Hanzo's father — the elder of the Oikawa family was forced to exile himself, because there were so many people who hated Hanzo's son, Haruki.
He has brought a lot of trouble, not only the actions that made them ostracized, Haruki even challenged his father to preserve the kannon-ji temple. Hanzo can no longer restrain his emotions.
"Haruki, what do you really want? It is a tradition for the citizens of Oikawa to guard Kannon-ji Temple and you told me to forget it? As the son of the head of the Oikawa family, you are embarrassing me so much! Until when do you want to throw mud in my face?"
Haruki was speechless, he knew very well that he had already troubled the Father. Because of his non-Yokai behavior, he was exiled by the rest of the Oikawa family even though the position of chairman still exists, but of course now people ridicule Hanzo and doubt him. This is all Haruki's fault, he is well aware of it.
But, he also does this for the good of the family even though the way he is different the love for the Oikawa family will not disappear.
"I know, Dad! But if this continues, the Oikawa family will be short of money and will become poor. Even these few years, no one has visited Kannon-ji Temple, right?"
Despite being constantly rejected, Haruki still tries hard to convince his father, even though he realizes it is impossible.
"It's enough, shut up and come out!"
Hanzo seemed to have lost his temper, he yelled very loudly and made Haruki swallow, he again failed.
".. All right, I'm sorry, Dad. I just want the Oikawa family to move forward..."
Haruki stood up from his sitting position and walked out of the house.
Hanzo exhaled, it's not like Hanzo crudely rejected the child's idea, it's just that as the chairman, of course he has to follow Oikawa's rules. If he was born with a different destiny, maybe His father would accept the proposal.
"Sorry, kid. But the Oikawa family has to do this."
..._***_...
The trees soar up to the sky, the sunlight is even covered by the leaves of the tree, the air is very cool and peaceful, some insects such as grasshoppers and beetles sing - singing creates a beautiful tune.
A 17-year-old teenager dressed in a purple yukata was seen walking in the venue, his face a little disappointed because his idea was always rejected by Dad.
The teenager is none other than Oikawa Haruki. Haruki was walking towards Kannon-ji Temple to check on his condition once again.
Although it looks disrespectful, but actually Haruki respects this temple very much he secretly cleans the temple that's why he really knows that Kannon-ji Temple is very quiet, every time he comes almost never anyone visits.
Is there no other way to make the Oikawa family better?
Haruki stepped up the stairs leading to Kannon-ji Temple with full thoughts. Just as he thought that this day would be deserted without inhabitants, he was surprised by the figure of a girl visiting the temple.
She wears a yukata, her hair is a long blonde, she closes her eyes and squats down. Mumbling something is like praying.
From a distance, of course, Haruki couldn't hear her muttering, but Haruki felt the girl's gaze, air, and strange aura. It's hard to describe in words, but obviously there is something different about the girl.
Her name is Nanase Sakura, a transferist who has just been in Kumo No Mura village. Sakura is a friendly and polite girl that's how people respond, but for Haruki it's just the opposite.
Sometimes Sakura seems surprised at something and sometimes paled because things are not clear and according to the point of view of an Oikawa family, Haruki thinks that Sakura has something related to Yokai.
Although Haruki himself couldn't guess what kind of ability he had.
When Haruki's eyes were watching Sakura, the girl suddenly opened her eyes wide as if aware of the existence of something, she looked a little tooth and panicked.
Sakura suddenly ran from the shrine in a condition as if frightened.
What's wrong with her? She looks like was being chased by something?
While running, Sakura apparently tries to get down from the stairs and she seems unaware of Haruki's existence in front of her eyes.
The girl was too focused on her own thoughts, continuing to run in fear as if something was chasing her.
Sakura's feet tripped because the slippers she was wearing suddenly broke, she fell down the stairs. When she realized the figure of the man who was none other than Haruki was in front of his eyes, she opened his eyes wide and shouted.
"Watch out!"
* BRak
Unfortunately, Haruki didn't have time to dodge, he fell with Sakura on the stairs with Sakura leaning on Haruki's body.
They both fell down, and just then their lips met in an unexpected kiss. It was as if there was a strange energy flowing between them at that moment. After the kiss, Sakura looked surprised and frowned, while Haruki felt like something had changed within him.
Sakura stood up with a slightly flushed face, she looked back and the expression of her face turned serious. Just like before, she seemed to feel something and ran away directly.
"Sorry!"
Before actually leaving, he ran away, leaving Haruki who didn't understand the situation. But Haruki knew one thing, he accidentally kissed Sakura.
Ouch, my head hurts!
Haruki bit her lips, he felt his head throbbing incoherently after kissing Sakura, just like before there was something flowing in his body.
But, Haruki decides not to think about this and assumes that it is just a normal headache symptom.
Considering that he is anti-magic, he didn't think about anything.
Instead of thinking about useless things, Haruki decided to go home with a slightly dizzy head and didn't stop beating.
It hurts, actually, what's wrong with my head?
Haruki held his own head, feeling extreme pain.
It was getting darker, Haruki walked towards the house in a place full of trees, as he heard a human-like voice.
"Hey he's from the Oikawa family, right?"
"Yes, there is no mistaking it. But don't worry, Oikawa is famous for guarding the shrine, but basically they won't be able to see us."
In the middle of a dense forest and trees that support high into the sky. It is impossible for any humans to be here. That's what flashed through Haruki's brain.
Haruki hissed, the sound of the voice became clearer and clearer. He turned his head slightly towards the sound source.
"Hey, he's staring here, can't he really see us?"
"T-calm down, it should be that a weak family like Oikawa won't be able to see us."
Haruki's orange eyes opened wide, his breathing was irregular like seeing something unbelievable.
In front of Haruki, there are clearly human figures dressed in white, but instead of being human, they look like Yokai and ghosts.
Haruki kept staring at them with a look of disbelief.
"Y- Y- Youkai?!"
An extremely loud scream. Haruki's face was very blue. He who lived never believed in mystical things suddenly gained the ability to see Yokai, of course he was surprised.
