Chapter 3 - 19th March 2021

#Journal Entry: The guy

Today was a better day than yesterday. But it was still full of surprises. Some good, some bad.

I woke up to a knock on my door. It was my brother Osman. He had just come back from New York, where he had been studying for the past year. He had a big smile on his face and a wrapped box in his hands. He said he was sorry he missed my birthday and he wanted to make it up to me. He gave me the box and told me to open it.

I opened it and found a beautiful necklace with a pendant that had my name engraved on it. It was the most thoughtful gift I had ever received. I hugged him and thanked him. He said he loved me and he was proud of me. He said he wanted to spend the day with me and catch up on everything.

I was so happy. I felt like I finally had someone who cared about me, someone who understood me, someone who loved me. My brother was always my best friend and my role model. He was smart, kind, funny, and successful. He always supported me and encouraged me. He always made me feel special and valued.

We spent the day at home, talking, laughing, sharing stories. He told me about his life in New York, his studies, his friends, his adventures. He asked me about my life, my college, my dreams, my challenges. He listened to me with interest and empathy. He gave me advice and comfort. He made me feel hopeful and confident.

He also suggested that we go out for some shopping and fun. He said he wanted to treat me to something nice and spoil me a little. He said he had a surprise for me at the mall. I agreed to go with him. I was curious and excited.

We took his car and drove to the City Mall, one of the biggest and fanciest malls in the city. It had all kinds of shops, restaurants, cinemas, arcades, and attractions. It was a place where people went to have fun, relax, and enjoy themselves.

We parked the car and walked towards the entrance of the mall. As we were walking, I saw something that made me stop in my tracks.

It was him.

The guy from yesterday.

The guy who stared at me from his car.

The guy with dark hair and blue eyes.

The guy who made me feel nervous and curious.

He was standing near the entrance of the mall, wearing a leather jacket and jeans. He looked cool and confident. He looked like he belonged there.

He also looked like he knew my brother.

Because he did a manly hug with him.

He greeted him with a smile and a handshake. He called him by his name.

"Hey Osman! Long time no see! How are you man?"

Osman smiled back and introduced him to me.

"Hey Muraat! I'm good man! How are you? This is my sister by the way."

Muraat looked at me with surprise and recognition. He smiled at me with a hint of mischief.

"Your sister? Wow! Nice to meet you! I'm Muraat."

He extended his hand towards me.

I didn't know what to do or what to say.

I felt shocked and confused, curious and attracted.

Today was a better day than yesterday.

But it was also the most confusing day of my life.
