V has lost everything.
His implants, his friends, his old life. In exchange for being alive for a little longer. Even if he wanted, he could no longer go back to his old life.
The Night City Legend V, was just a nobody now. The City has forgotten about him and moved on. The Legend, reduced to a mere nobody, getting beaten up and robbed by mere thugs on the street, one that he could've easily killed 2 years ago.
The lights of Night City was feeling more and more dull. The neon street lights that were so colourful and vibrant, just didn't seem as bright as before. Even in the badlands, the stars didn't shine as bright as when he was with the aldecaldos. The laughter, drunk rambling and cheer of the group, was just a fading memory to him.
While driving back to NC, the words of Dexter Deshawn was echoing in V's mind: 'Quiet life, or Blaze o' Glory? Hmm?'. Even though these words didn't mean anything to him before, he just couldn't stop thinking about it.
Currently, V was walking aimlessly through Watson. The city that he knew by heart, just seems so foreign to him now.
As he was walking through an alley, a person zipped through him. "He's getting away!" Shots rang out throughout the alley, seemingly aiming to hit the person that ran past him. V attempted to dodge or run away, but it was futile. He was no longer his former self, after all. The bullets pelted through his body, seemingly without any resistance. V wasn't shocked at all, in contrary, he was expecting this. "After him!" The Militech armed forces ran past V and after the escaping thief, not even batting an eye at the person in the crossfire. As V was bleeding out on the concrete floor, he reflected. 'What if I had done things differently? Would Jackie and T-Bug have been alive? Would I have a different end than this?' and most importantly 'Would I have been... happy?'.
V should've been happy, for being able to live, for getting the relic removed. But, why did he want to live? So that he could experience life with his friends? The friends which you lost? So that he could just be a nobody on the side of the road? The reason why V should live, isn't known to him anymore. This is why V could only stare blankly at the sky, before the light in his eye faded away.

After this it's up to the Author how to continue V's story, so I left it blank. I was thinking of something like bringing V back in time, but not sure.
This is my first time writing something like this. Is it good? I don't really want to write a lot as to leave it to the imagination and creativity of the author. I also wrote a male V, because that's who I play as in the game, but it is changeable.
I think the phantom liberty ending is sad as hell, that's why I wrote this.
