Chapter 7 - The Toymaker And His Toys

"Alright, Miss Cosmic Timekeeper, if that's who you are. First of all, could, could you explain to me what you are, and secondly, can I call you by another name, cause Miss Cosmic Timekeeper is a tad too long for my tongue. Let's call you, umm... Amy. Yes, let's call you Amy."

For some odd reason, even though Will should have been frightened by now, he wasn't. Some part of his mind keeps on telling to be calm, to accept it, that this is his destiny. Even though his mind kept on telling him to throw it away, to let someone else carry the burden, his heart told him to do it, claim the watch as his own.

"Well master, I am originally an artificial intelligence, so I have no gender, but since you, my master, are male, I have designated myself as female to cater to your needs. Secondly, I will now tell you what I am. I am a Toy - the last one of its kind, because my maker has passed away long ago. Toys were created by Mr. Toymaker to provide hope and joy to the people in times of dire need. Toys were originally invented to bring joy and fun into the lives of people eons ago. They were filled with wonder and entertainment, with passion and heart, to bring forth the hidden joy buried deep within. But we unfortunately were forced to be used for the sake of war." With this being said, a touch of sadness is heard in Amy's voice, though little.

"Why were you used for war, Amy?" Asked Will, tilting his head in confusion, as he pondered how toys could be used for wars.

"Because of one man. Or rather, one elf, for in those days, the fair folk still dwelled and walked this land. He waged wars for the sake of his unbridled ambition to control all of creation itself. He was a cruel, vindictive, and savage ruler, but also very charismatic, otherwise no one would have followed him. His rule threatened all of creation itself, therefore prompting my, or rather, our creator, Mr. Toymaker to create us for war instead."

"I Keep on hearing about Mr. Toymaker. Who is he?"

Amy replied "Our creator was a man of great wisdom and joy. His wisdom allowed him to build us, using both what you call nowadays magic and science. He was a tall man, tall for both the men and the elves. He wore a coat of wonder, as wonder kept on appearing on his coat. Sometimes galaxies were shown, sometimes the eddies of space-time, and sometimes the gears of creation. He was the only one who knew how to weave them into clothes. His face was the warmest face you could ever imagine. Whenever you looked at it, you felt hope was present, no more worries were needed, and that all was going to be alright. But his eyes … his eyes were the best part of him. They radiated with hope and wonder. Wonder for all creation, and wonder for all life. He wanted to bring joy to everyone using his creations, hence he started to call himself as the Toymaker."

Will could hear the sorrow in her voice, as he realized that the Toymaker must have disappeared, thereby making Amy sad. Sensing this, he switched the conversation "By the way Amy, what can you do?"
