After his performance, Byron didn't expect the goddamned goddess to make such a move.
Uh... well! What else did he expect? That he was able to quench a goddess of temptation's lust overnight? That was impossible. He was blessed with unwavering stamina from the God of Desires but knew the goddess had powers of her own. That's why when her lips touched his, he didn't play it dumb. He devoured her cherries, his hands going up her thighs.
The goddess then lifted herself off the bed and hovered over him as if he was a motorbike and she, a rider.
This was going to be another battle. Byron could tell.
Unfortunately, when his right hand reached her inner thigh, she pulled away, stepping off the bed afterwards.
'What the fuck!'
His little brother had already stood straight like a bodyguard and... and then she ran away? What kind of a sick joke was that?
"Oh tough guy, don't be angry with! It's for your own good. I had to put your mind in active mode. You're going to face a Venomous Beauty, remember?"
She then swayed away, her butt bubbling.
Byron felt like running after her, push her on her knees and bang her from behind. However, he knew better how badly he needed to go see the Venomous Beauty. From her heartbeat, he could tell the beauty was worried, and was not a great idea to keep a beauty in that state.
Before he could do that, there was something he wanted to take care of first. The Almighty Interpreter. He wanted to know all about it.
Soon, a brown-paper-like panel appeared in front of him, the mysterious runes that he was able to read for unknown reason presenting the information to him.
Name: Byron Drumline
Bloodlines: None
Rank: Follower.
Pigment Pot: Active.
Legacies: 3
Replicas: β
Attributes: β
Aspect: [Arcane Trickster.]
Aspect Description: [A trickster is someone who...]
Byron had already read that. This time, he wanted to know why the system said he didn't have a bloodline when he had already drank the God of Desires blood. Was a bloodline something different?
He focused on the runes describing the bloodline and the explanation appeared.
[Bloodline: Once provoked, one becomes a follower. It's his duty to prove he is a submissive and a loyal follower, worthy the god's blessing.]
This reminded Byron the levels Beauty Goddess had told him. Follower, Blessed, Priest, Saint and God. That meant he had to become a Blessed so he could have a god's bloodline.
'Uh... well! Understandable!'
This was like joining a gang or any other group that valued loyalty. Being a member was first, then becoming fully trusted was another thing.
'OK!'
How was one supposed to become a Blessed then?
Byron found levels and their descriptions below, focusing on the Blessed section. Nothing happened. It was blurry, a sign that it was... inactive? Locked?
'Whatever!'
Instead, the Follower section opened.
[Level: Follower.]
[Pigment Brightness: 15/1000.]
What the hell was the Pigment Brightness?
Byron focused on the phrase Pigment Brightness but it did not open any tab. With this, he scowled and tried to come up with the answer on his own.
When he killed the vile Ruby Wolves, the AI told him his Pigment had become brighter. Did it mean one was able to level up by killing the monsters?
To know if his assumption was true, Byron tried to remember the number of the Ruby Wolves he had killed. When he compared it to the one in the Pigment Brightness, his hopes were crushed. They did not match.
If he remembered correct, the Ruby Wolves were 12 and only the big guy had survived. That meant the number for the Pigment Brightness should have been 11.
Why was it 15 then?
'Could it be... hell yeah!'
The monsters were not on the same level. The four guardians on the big guy's sides were much bigger and strong. They should have provided a double of the Pigment Brightness. In fact, when they fell off the canyon, the AI did not use Ruby Wolves to describe them. It had used Ruby Guardians. Since they were four, that might mean the origin of the additional four Pigment Brightness.
Byron was only assuming but this theory seemed true. If the level of a monster he killed was higher, he would also get higher benefits.
'That's a wow!'
About how the Droplets of Desires would help him, he did not know. He had not seen anything depicting it in...
Wait!
The Pigment Pot.
Maybe the more blood he would drink, the bigger or stronger his Pigment Pot would become.
'Interesting!'
He put that on I will check if it's true list and continued with his exploration.
He didn't have Replicas and Attributes to study about them. So, his focus fell solely on Legacies.
They were three of them. He remembered two were from the Patriarch. The beautiful jian sword he had used to fight the Ruby Wolves and the Transport Portal.
Where was the third one from then?
Could it be the Dreadful Dagger?
[Legacies: 3.]
[Legacy names: [Dreadful Dagger.] [Transport Potal.] [Slice of Heaven.]
'Slice of heaven? What a beautiful name!'
Byron had been referring to the jian sword as beautiful not knowing that even its name suggested it was beautiful. Nevertheless, there was nothing on the Slice of Heaven to be curious about. His interest was on the other Legacies since they were from a god he was on a path to become.
[Legacy: Transport Portal.]
[Legacy Enhancement: [Ballooning Belly.] [Lightening Reach.]
Seeing this, Byron's heart skipped a beat. He had been wishing that there could be a way to enhance the Legacy and put it on the level it was on when its creator was still alive. Now, his prayer was answered.
However, the enhancement terms were kinda confusing. What did ballooning belly mean?
'Why should I remain confused when the AI can give an explanation?'
[Enhancement: Ballooning Belly.]
[Enhancement Description: This otherworldly quill can draw runes as wide as an ocean on a surface as narrow as a needle if it's master has enough Pigment to feed it.]
'So the goddamned thing can draw large runes to create a big portal if I have enough Pigment to satisfy it?'
'This is good!'
Byron felt like he still needed to know more about how Pigment worked. Was it like mana in anime he had watched while on earth? Maybe Qi in cultivation novels he read.
'Whatever!'
The important thing now was that one day, once strong, he would be able to transport a big number of things through his Transport Portal at the same time.
Satisfied, he moved on to another Legacy Enhancement.
However, as the AI was projecting the phrase Lightening Reach in front of his eyes, Byron felt something soft and damp brushing against his lips.
His eyes were open here in the goddess's dimension. That meant only one thing. His real body was...
Before he could finish the thought, he heard the Venomous Beauty's voice.
"I'm sorry! I should have listened to you!"
Then, his lips were attacked again. Since Byron was faking his pass out, he could feel her lips devouring his passionately, her hands on his cheeks. The temperature within his body rose, prompting him to abandon the idea of exploration.
...He had other important matters to go take care of first.
