Not even a second passed after Byron met the Venomous Beauty, and the Satisfy Me System dinged.
[System Mission: Kill your first Venomous Beauty and collect the first shard.]
[Reward: 2 Droplets of Desires.]
[Penalty: Lose your erection for a week.]
[Deadline: 2 days.]
'Beauty Goddess, what the fuck?'
Shards, Droplets of Desires, erection...
'Damn it!'
Was this really what the goddess should have done in a dire situation like this? Telling him to kill when even keeping his footing was being to much of a burden?
'What else did I expect from a bitch like her?'
Byron couldn't believe his bad luck. He was too tired, feeling too dizzy and on the verge of collapsing. How was he supposed to kill someone, let alone something deadly like a Venomous Beauty? How was one even supposed to kill a girl, so beautiful and harmless... so far?
Well, she was looking at him with killing intent but no one could blame her for that. Who else would feel happy when a stranger enters their home and proceed to their bathroom?
'Uh... goddess, do you perhaps have some tricks on how to kill a Venomous Beauty with a snap? Uh... maybe by a wink or a blink?'
Those were the only ways he could use to kill someone with how tired he felt.
When the goddess didn't respond, Byron was too angry with her that the level of dizziness he felt doubled.
Like any other angry person could be, Byron's mind was filled with too many questions, too many things and insults for the goddamned goddess. He felt like punching bitchness out of her.
'Beauty Goddess, your missions are pre-set. You've told me that and I understand though I don't understand how. Uh... what did I just say?'
Byron reiterated himself.
'Whatever!'
'You should at least give me some time to recover? I don't know if I'm going to keep standing next couple seconds. Why tell me to kill? Don't you see how impossible it is?'
A moment of waiting for an answer.
NOTHING CAME.
'I should at least get an explanation, dammit!'
None had ever ignored Byron in his previous life. That's why he was not liking this goddamned goddess's behavior. If he was talking to her in the usual way of opening one's mouth, he would have stopped. Unfortunately, it was not the usual way. There is no way he could stop his thoughts.
'Lose my erection, really? Do you think that's something I fear? Don't you know how it won't affect only me but also you? Do you think I care?'
Though Byron said this, he knew he cared. Losing it for a week, no big deal. For eternity, he could even kill his...
'Focus, you fool!'
His blurred sight told him the Venomous Beauty was still standing still, her gaze unwavering.
'It really is blurry!'
Byron didn't know if it were candies which were not enough, if it was fatigue or the unexpected encounter that was causing him to feel weak. Maybe it was the unexpected difficult mission or the anger from being ignored. Perhaps their combination. Whatever it was, he could tell it was only going to be a matter of seconds and he would pass out.
If only he had drunk water or maybe ate an apple before making his way deeper into the cave. Perhaps things would have changed.
'This can't be happening to me!'
Byron chose to use the little time he was left with to take in every detail of the girl he was supposed to kill.
The goddamned beauty had a petite figure, her enormous juicy melons and bubbling hips adding a voluptuous vibe on her. She stood staring at him with a somber expression, her arms to her sides and her sapphire blue eyes confused. Additionally, she was in no hurry to hide her nudity.
'What else did I expect? She is a Venomous Beauty, right? Being naked amidst a man means something more than the trivial embarrassment.'
This made Byron's heart skip a beat, doubling his dizziness.
Every other thing about her, be it her silky long purple hair or supple figure was normal except a strange phenomenon Byron could not describe. The steam her body was emanating. It was as if she was a pot, water boiling inside to release so much steam from her alabaster skin.
'Gods!'
To make matters worse, her voice vibrated inside the 'Eden' cave'.
"Who are you?"
Her icy voice startled him. This is when he realized why he had been doing. He had not only invaded her cave, but also shamefully stared at her, his eyes scanning and evaluating every detail of her body as if she was a product on the market.
'I'm doomed!'
About her question, who was he? A traveller, a killer or...
Byron pondered on what could be the best option and came up with this.
"A normal guy who accidentally fell off the canyon into a lake, finding himself standing before a naked woman afterwards."
He tried to make it seem blatant but could not. It was bit easy to act normal in front of a person you plan to kill. A person who can kill you also.
But wait!
Wasn't being nervous what he needed? Acting natural as if nothing strange had happened would make him seem suspicious.
'That's a good performance, buddy!'
Byron told himself, trying not to let his blurred sight miss any detail about the Venomous Beauty's expression.
Nothing changed. Somber and cold as always. Not even her voice.
"You're lying! You're not Normal."
'Damn!'
Of course Byron was not Normal. He was a Provoked being. The name for those who had drunk a god's blood. Because he had a Pigment Pot, the Venomous Beauty could know it by his aura.
'What do I say.'
"Oh..."
Byron pushed his tired brain hard trying to come up with a lie.
"Of course I'm not normal as Normal. Why would I be out here hunting if I was Normal? I'm a Provoked but normal in a way that says I'm harmless."
The beauty gave him a long look.
"You're lying... again?"
'Wait! Can she read minds or something? What does she mean by I'm lying? I'm trying to tell the real truth... here.'
'No! You're not telling truth!'
Could he tell her he was there to kill her? Who would say that? Besides, he didn't feel like it. Wouldn't there be any other way to satisfy the Goddess of Beauty without having to kill?
"Trust me! I'm telling truth."
As soon as Byron said that, the steam rising from her body doubled, becoming dense and dense a second after another. It was as if she was about to use it as a weapon.
Hell yeah! Byron had watched many movies and knew what the people who could control water, air or... anything... how they would act when about to attack.
"Who are you and why are you lying to me?"
"I'm Byron and I'm not lying."
"Last warning! Don't lie to me..."
She paused and then shouted.
"...again! Your blood smells familiar. Who are you and what do. You. Want?"
Byron's brain could not withstand such noise so he placed his hands over them.
"Lower your voice please!"
SHE INSTEAD INCREASED THE VOLUME.
"What do you want?"
"I want water... uh... maybe some fruits. I really didn't..."
Before he could finish, the Venomous Beauty moved her arms for the first time. Not giving a damn to her naked body, she assumed a fighting position, clenching her fists. This caused all the steam from her body and the waterfall to swirl around her like a black hole.
"I warned you not to lie to me. Don't blame me then."
'Damn it!'
Byron's mind raced, adrenaline making his head spin, the dizziness increasing.
'I'm about to pass out!'
Out of instinct, Byron took a step toward her, extending his arms to stop her. The goddamned beauty thought he was attacking and shouted,
"Don't! Don't take another step, you monster!"
'Monster? Really? Who was the monster? What was it special about him that frightened her?'
This is not how Byron had envisioned his first encounter with a Venomous Beauty. He expected she would throw herself at him, kissing and trying to do all the things Goddess of Beauty had been teaching him.
Why was this one afraid of him then? Shouldn't she be undressing him? No! Devouring his little brother?
'What are you thinking about, fool!'
Byron knew better not to frighten a beauty who could control steam. If she fired any of her creation to him, he didn't know if his body—already on the verge of collapsing—would survive.
"I don't mean any harm. I feel dizzy and want some water."
He decided to explain himself before taking another step. However, the beauty didn't buy it. She was already pushing her hands forward, a cloud of steam lunching toward Byron. Fear, coupled with fatigue, made Byron's mind give up. He could not hold on any longer.
'Damn!'
Before he could hit the ground and smash his head hard on the rocky floor, something hot whistled past him, two arms wrapping around him, their owner's soft papayas pressed against his back.
'What a delicious pass out!'
