Johan shuffled around his room, tossing a spare shirt into his backpack. The air in the room buzzed with anticipation, and Miles, ever the curious younger brother, sauntered in.
"So, you're leaving?" Miles asked, leaning against the doorframe.
Johan nodded, zipping up his backpack. "Yeah, gotta head to Death River for some monster hunting. You know how it is."
Miles raised an eyebrow. "Monster hunting? Seriously? What's in that backpack of yours that's going to help you against monsters?"
Johan grinned, holding up a flask. "This is a potion of minor healing. A sip, and I'm good to go. And of course, snacks. A hungry card master is a grumpy card master."
Miles chuckled, "Well, you've got the essentials covered. But hey, I met this guy down the street who might have some useful info about Death River. Said he knows the place like the back of his hand."
Johan's interest piqued. "Really? What's his deal?"
