But that fleeting serenity was violently ripped apart as the ground beneath their feet erupted into chaotic turmoil. Tremors rocked the floor, each vibration more intense than the last, making it near impossible to maintain balance. Huge cracks, like monstrous scars, appeared in the ground, zigzagging and expanding, threatening to swallow them whole.
"Watch out!" Danny shouted, pulling Ken back from a fissure that had suddenly opened beneath him.
