Johan's footsteps became muffled as the solid rock underfoot transitioned to a soft mossy floor. As he delved deeper, the cavernous expanse slowly gave way to a dense, surreal forest. Trees of colossal stature, with girths wider than three men, reached skyward, their sprawling canopies merging to form a verdant ceiling. The foliage was so thick that it swallowed most of the ambient light, rendering the forest in a chiaroscuro of greens and blues. Shafts of muted luminescence pierced the canopy at odd intervals, revealing floating spores and particles in the mist-laden air.
'Who would've thought? A forest inside a dungeon,' Johan mused internally, his observant eyes darting about, trying to make sense of the oddity before him. 'This isn't just about the glow or the trees. It's the atmosphere—so tangible, so alive.'
