Chapter 1 - Prologue.

The day was as usual, gloomy. No warmth, no joy, no happiness, it was just them, the citizens, like dried bones covered with old autumn leaves in the name of flesh, they were like living corpses roaming around the decaying village of kentrifield, yet the people, the kentrians still looked for means to survive even though there was none, after the terrible lab accident about five years ago, the Urban people were forced to move into the cemetery that made them dead, well— at least they were safe from more nuclear attacks in the name of protection, attacks that put most of them in a cancerous state of health. The people didn't die by it though for the perpetual hunger and slavery was enough to end their lives for sure, the will to live had vanished, to survive, a hope for a better future, those rubbish didn't exist in the current state of the world especially when you're type of government, a government who use their citizens to make revenue for their selfish reasons existed.

Some still hoped for such though, even if they were counted out as the biggest fools to had ever existed, Jadiya was one of them for such for there was no day she didn't kneel by the bedside wishing for the Lord God Almighty to send down a savior for them, ever she was eleven, ever since her family were treated with injustice, her father a crippled and her mother, well, let's call her half dead after all she was amongst those strikes with a terrible sickness or just a usual sickness, cancer of the brain since she worked at the lab were the awful experiment was carried out.

Now she was sixteen yet looked like the dried up bark of a dead fig tree, not looking like her age you could call it, her eyes almost jumping out of their sockets and her bones almost visible like they were being displayed in a show glass, she was there again in the swamps, searching for worms, dead fish, snails or eels, anything she could get her hands on and sell off at the main market, a disoriented wilderness were buyers were cheaters that's if you weren't smart enough to know how to survive their cruel tricks, Jadi as she was called continued to search desperately in the mud despite the ulcer pains that threatened to open up her stomach, she couldn't complain though for it risked her job, she had gotten two whips at her back for skipping work last week and now the only means of feeding her disabled family would be taken away if her mouth wasn't shut close.

BANG! echoed from the village causing the mud miners to yelp in help and stare towards the village direction not to far from where they worked, a bullet had been shot in the air— or perhaps at someone forehead, whispers spread it's self in an eerie manner amongst the teens earning each of them a painful lash at their backs causing them to tear open and forcing the crimson liquid to gush out like spring from a rock, they weren't allowed to yell out their pains, only hisses could be heard alone. A man rode on a dark and mighty horse towards the controller's direction and whispered words into his ears causing a smirk to curve on the controller's ugly face, he turned back to the workers, wickedness gleaming too bright in his eyes.

"The harvesters are here which means work will be closing off soon, you will go back to your houses and present all the youngesters you have and put them for sale, after that, return here immediately with the money and represent it to me, try hiding anything, even a penny and I'll sever your heads and feeds them to the pigs after all they haven't eaten for days. Go now!". and a bullet fired up in the air. All the teens ran faster than the wind tearing through the thorns and poison ivies that blocked their ways despite the starvation they still ran, Jadiya was faster though for worry filled her chest, she had totally forgotten about the harvestation, an annual theft were teens would be taken away from their families and put up for work, the bandits or harvesters promised the villagers that they would come back to them but that has never occurred, the teens would be rumoured to be dead or have forgotten about the villages but no one complained about it if not, death would be awaiting the owner of such mouth, an act which was once considered to be illegal was now legalized since the government is corrupt, she managed to hide herself from them for awhile now, but the fact they wanted children now, something was definitely wrong somewhere.

Jadi got home quicker than the rest but arrived too late, her house had already been ransacked and overly vandalized, not that it was already in a neat order though but she knew they'd be here, she continued her race to the village square not bothering to check up on her ailing mother, and tears fell down her eyes as she found an awful site she couldn't imagine— there her father was, one leg completely chopped up from the knee area and was soaking wet in his own blood yet begging mercilessly for his daughter's life, her cold gaze left him and searched in the crowd for the only thing that kept her going—

Sara!

There she was trying to reach for their helpless father to recuse her but was slapped on the cheek too harshly by a rough hand, Jadi hiss, feeling the terrible impact of the pain, she ran to the overcrowded set of people trying to save the helpless children, some were kicked, pushed and hit with the end of the large brutal guns, she was one of those who was hit causing two molars to fall out with blood flowing out, her head felt disoriented and drowsy from the hit and hunger for almost a week, yet she still struggled, too hard to get out of the crowd and reach for that nine years old who wasn't worth the suffer, she got out successful but a black boot had landed too hard on her stomach threatening to open up the empty well, she crawled to the man, strength disappearing from her, her slender hand reached for a boot, it threatened to kick off her hand but she held it tight, her head arching upwards with tears bleeding out from her eyes and the dirt staining her face, her voice shallow and void, she begged:

"Sir, please I beg you leave Sarah take me, I'm more stronger than her, she'll die out there please take me, turn me to your slave or whatever but please let her go, she's too young for all this!" more tears streamed out, blinding her vision, the man though called into another bandits telling him in his ear about Jadi, the man who was in all black and a large scar crossing his face stared down at her.

"Are you sure?!" his gruff voice ran too loud in her ears, she could only nod as her response, to dizzy to access anything in her mind, but she heard her sister's name being called with too much harshness in the tone, then hers was called continuously but a little but estrangled voice, but no response left her mouth, she felt her body being carried like a sack over a shoulder and was thrown with force unto the hard floor, the small voice continued to call for her but all she could say, all she could echo despite the abyss she was falling into, despite the strength that had left her was—

"I'll be back, I'll be back, I'll.be.back!"
