The ride to Amethystia would take a few days, but Dante, Seraphina, and his heralds had powered through the first day. Seraphina was currently resting in his or rather now their tent. He had suggested it and she had brightly accepted it. Her surge of joy soothed his nervousness. After their tense morning, he didn't know how she'd react to sharing his tent. Wanting to give her some space to settle in, he took the first watch, gazing up at the night sky filled with stars. It would soon be the Moon Season and he already felt the unease settling around him like a warning before a merciless storm ravaged the world with thunderous malice.
