Caramia gaped at the luxurious gowns. She was supposed to wear one of them. Her eyes swept over the fancy but private boutique. Persephone was discussing something with the shop owner and the lady lit up.
"Why, it would be a great honor to dress the newest member of the Cristos family!" she cried out in enthusiasm, causing the other small groups of customers to stop and stare. Their eyes immediately went to her, the chill of their judging eyes piercing her. "I have the perfect gown for you."
With that, the lady quickly ushered her to dressing room with Persephone casually following. Eyes followed them until they vanished into a spacious room with a wall dedicated to a mirror and a screen room divider. There was a chaise lounge and a small table.
She watched as a young lady came in balancing a tea kettle, cups, and containers on a stained glass tray. She placed it on the table before hurrying off. Persephone sighed, walking towards the chaise lounge to sit down.
