The Weeping Maiden's tall stature barred the moonlight's glow from reaching Haruki. She lowered her head and growled at him. Haruki only gripped the handle of his blade tightly as he silently stared at the Weeping Maiden.
She raised her claws high up in the air. She barred her teeth as an abyssmal stench came out of her opened maws. Haruki furrowed his brows, but made no attempts to block her attack.
He lowered his stance as he sheathed his blade. His legs sparked with lightning as he anticipated her attack.
As soon as she brought down her paw, a shield suddenly flew out of nowhere. It directly appeared above Haruki's head, surprising even him.

A shout echoed from behind him as the sound of running footsteps got louder. The shield started emmitting sparks. Then a beat later a strong explosion came out of the front of the shield, blasting away the claw.
