Chapter 4 - Deepest Circle of hell (III)

Haruki grinned towards the Guards just staring blankly at him. He dusted himself off as he wiped the grime and blood off him. He waited for a beat before speaking.

"You see Captain, what I like the most are reasonable people. Are you a calm and reasonable person?" He said as he approached the guard captain sweating buckets. The Captain has immediately forgone all thoughts of resistance. "Now tell me where you're keeping my shit." He said as he patted the man's shoulders. The guard captain shivered and he answered, "I'm sorry but I dont have the clearance to know something like that. Although they might've put it on Gen Pops evidence lockup.

Haruki then took off the blood-covered uniform and beckoned the young cadet. "Take it off." He said simply. The young cadet nodded vigorously as he took off his uniform. The moment Haruki knew where to go he then left while nicking most of their grenades and bullets.

The captain holding his gun frowned as he thought of shooting the man's head off the moment they're out of range. However, when he looked up Haruki was staring at him dead in the eye with a fearsome grin.

"Well, Captain? Got the guts to kill me?" He said as he stood still giving the captain a large advantage. However, the captain just shook his head. "I'm eight days away from retirement." Haruki then chuckled at the statement. "That's a shame."

The moment he was out of sight they all sat down and breathed. They were so close from death they could feel her chilly breath from their necks. "I think I'm going to open a store in a peaceful colony." One of the guards said flatly. The others agreed as they chimed in on where to take a vacation next.

After a while, Haruki finally found the exit from the maze-like white hallways. As he stepped out from the winding hallways was a spacious elevator. It only had one button and it says GENPOP. After a few minutes of standing around the elevator door finally opened. The moment he stepped out what he saw was a vast array of prison cells stretching as far as the eyes can see.

"Wow, special treatment. I don't know whether I should be happy or pissed that they're willing to spend so much on little old me." He said as he softly chuckled searching for the Evidence lockup room.

Passing by he saw that the riot was in full swing. Bodies lying around everywhere. Screams and laughter rang across the populated halls. On the other hand, the blood that was spilled was steadily being absorbed by Ars Magus.

Haruki nimbly dodged everyone as he passed through them fully ignoring their existence as they killed each other. Since everyone was busy with their own thing he didn't even bother to cover his face.

After an hour of just following instructions and avoiding idiots took a toll on his weary mind as he sighed. "Who the fuck designed this goddamn place!" He whined fully ignoring the fact that he's a prisoner, not a tourist.

After turning a hard left what greeted him was a blue metal door slightly ajar. He entered the evidence lockup and what greeted him were a bunch of open lockers and memorabilia scattered all around. He immediately looked for his name. "These bastards better not have taken my shit!" After a few minutes of searching the seemingly endless rows of nameless containers he saw something at the edge of the gigantic room.

He found a giant vault in front of the rows of blue lockers. Slowly he made his way towards it. As he approached he noticed the vaults light was green. The explosions must've messed with the prison system.

He heaved a sigh as he pried open the door. What greeted him was a small duffle bag devoid of weapons and his combat suit was nowhere in sight. It was filled with nothing but memorabilia he had on his person. A silver locket stained with blood and inside it was a hidden encrypted memory chip and a small picture of a beautiful woman with shoulder length brown hair. Her smile was incredibly enchanting and picturesque. Her green eyes shone like the brightest star out in the galaxy. Her sharp features further emphasized her gentle nature that the simple photo seemingly exhudes.

He softly clutched the locket as he gave a melancholic smile. aside from it there were a few more stuff such as a bunch of fake I.D.'s. His frozen E-Cred wallet. The most eye catching thing however was the pair of rings. one was barely worn and in pristine condition. The other one was a little used a few scratches and its lustre threatening to fade.

After staring at the ring seemingly in a daze for a while he wore it both on his ring finger. As he was lost in reminiscence countless footsteps resounded behind him. He closed his eyes and sighed. Turning around he saw a group of grinning chucklefucks with one foot in the grave. He then wore the locket on his neck.

"Well, If it isn't the renowned wolf himself! I didn't expect to see you here!" As he said those words Haruki frowned. His eyes narrowed as he smiled back towards the dumbass. "Oh Jared! It's been so long! I sure hope your wife still misses me."

The man however was struck dumb unable to reply immediately. "Ha ever the joker I see. I hope you manage to churn out one last laugh then." He said as his men brandished makeshift weapons the hid in their "Arsenal" for quite a while.

"Oh Jared! you are a riot! I cant get enough of your wife." Haruki said not even taking them seriously. He looked towards the security camera and stuck out his tongue. "Im gunning for you oh great Warden." Haruki then shot the camera and aimed at the morons.

"Sorry boys, as much as I'd love to play. I'm pressed for time. Plus no way in hell am I touching your gross weapons. whoever you fuckers are I hope you remember your hobbies in the afterlife." He said as he threw a flashbang in the air.

The prisoners were stunned as everything was happening too quickly. Then a few gunshots later most of them are already down for the count. "Jared" then immediately dashed toward a corpse and used it as a meatshield blocking two bullets aimed at his head. "Give it up wolf! There's more waiting for you outside!"

Before he could threaten Haruki a small grenade rolled right infront of his meatshield.

A deafening explosion shook the entire room creating a moutainload of a mess. Scattering most of the lockers. Haruki on the otherhand steadily walked over to the dying "Jared" He aimed his his gun straight to his temple. "Where's Oslo?"

"Jared" coughed, "You don't even remember my name? What you did? You ki- -" A loud gunshot resounded across the desolate room. "Wrong Answer."
