Haruki tried to chase after the blonde woman. However before he could go far he saw the thing that she dropped earlier. It was a wooden bow with a couple of arrows. He picked it up and stared at it. "Huh... I didn't know they still made these. I saw metallic weapons shaped like these back in the museum in Scylla 8-b." He said as the played with the string of the bow, pulling it as it made reverberating sounds. "I dunno how to use it though." He said as he strapped the bow and quiver on his back.
Magus simply said making Haruki shrug his shoulders. He stared at the watch strapped to his arm, "Yeah well it still ain't mine."
Magus chimed, however Haruki shook his head. "It's a pretty lady's bow. Gotta have a reason to approach her again you know." He said as he looked around for signs of running. After a while he saw fresh tracks on the ground as he knelt. He narrowed his eyes, "Hmm, fresh tracks. She went this way." He said as he marked the tree with the arrowhead he just took out from the quiver.
Haruki coughed at Magus's words. "Excuse you? I'm just going to return her bow and apologize. Maybe a few drinks after."
Haruki looked towards the boundless sky and sighed. "Its been so long. So... So long. Since I dipped Sermalis steak in Gajanak sauce my man. I'm practically a desert right now. You see prison could be lonely..." He said as he showed a pure smile.
Magus sighed as he ignored Haruki as he continued rambling about shooting 3's on the other side of the court or something about homeruns and whatnot. After a while of walking he could finally see a beaten path. He nodded his head and sighed, "Finally civilization." He said as he heard rustling on the nearby bushes. He turned towards the direction of the sound and saw an inconspicuous tree. However from behind it he could see sharp ears sticking out.
He silently approached it and when he reached his destination he saw the beautiful maiden closing her eyes and covering her mouth, slightly shivering. He scratched his hair and coughed softly. The woman slightly stiffened at looked at his direction.
"Umm, Please calm down?" He said with a soft smile however the woman jumped back and caressed the tree beside her and snapped off a branch. "Stay back!" She shouted.
<
She shouted as the branch was covered in green mana and the branch slowly transformed into a bow. The string was made of pure green mana. Even the arrows that manifested on her free hand was made of pure green mana. She nocked the arrow on the string as she pulled it back. Haruki opened his eyes as he observed her movements, posture, and the muscles she used to aim at his head.
"So that's how it's done." He said as he smiled. He raised his hands and said as calm as he could, "Miss please calm down. I mean no harm. I just want to return your weapon." He said as he gently placed her bow and arrow filled quiver down on the ground. When he was done he raised his hands on the ground.
'Wait a goddamn minute! How the hell can I understand her? I don't have my universal translator with me.' He said in his mind as he scratched his head. Magus on the other hand chimed,
The woman relaxed however she kept her vigilant eye towards him. "Are you a new adventurer?" He shrugged his shoulders, "Just got here actually." She then furrowed her brows, "The nexus is getting more and more unstable." She said as she dispelled her bow and put it back on the tree. She caressed it softly and muttered.
<
She said as the tree was covered in green mana. Then it recovered in a blink of an eye. Haruki couldn't help but whistle. "Still that doesn't make you in the clear. Why did you leave the summoning temple? The handler from the guild should've arrived shortly if you waited."
She said as she put her hands on her hips. "Perverts like you bring down the entire sanctity of the predecessors that built this system." Haruki scratched his cheeks and chuckled, "I was taking a bath you know. It's not my fault you walked in at a bad time." The woman scoffed as she narrowed her eyes. "While talking to your self like a crazy person?"
Haruki grinned at her words, "So you don't talk to yourself when you're alone?" The woman clicked her tongue at his words, "Fine. Go back to the temple and wait for the handler to arrive. She'd explain to you what to do." Haruki tilted his head, "Where to?" The elven woman sighed, "I'll show you the way, but no funny business and you go stand in front." She said as she tossid him her bow. "Huh?" He caught the bow and quiver mid air as he looked towards her. "Why?"
The woman chuckled at him. "You're gonna need it more than I do young man. Now that I look at you closely you don't even have a single strand of mana in your body. You might die if you're not careful." Haruki furrowed his brows towards her words.
Haruki shrugged his shoulders as he started walking towards the direction she pointed towards. He tried making conversation but he was ignored for the rest of the way. Soon enough they reached an empty temple. It looks well maintained however it was situated in the middle of nowhere. It was made of marble and stone. Gilded mirrors made of colored glass make up it's windows that looked artistic. It was an image of an angel reaching towards kneeling people.
She pointed towards the large open entrance and said, "Wait the- -" Before she could speak she saw the Magic Circle inside the open temple glow faintly. She clicked her tongue and pulled out a notepad and started writing in it ignoring Haruki entirely. He went inside the temple and perused around.
"This place looks nice." He said as he stared at the empty temple with nothing but a giant glowning magic circle in the middle. He then stared towards the woman leaving, "Hey! where are you going?" The woman shrugged her shoulders, "I need to make a report. Besides there's about to be another nexus singularity. Wait for the handler. She'll explain everything. You on the other hand need to stay put like a good kid."
She said as she took out a parchment with ancient looking writing and tore it in half. She was then covered in blue light as she was slowly transported away. Haruki opened his eyes wide, "Neat." He said as he sat down on the edge of the corner and as he was waiting he could hear his stomach rumble.
Before he could whine however the magic circle shone with intensity and with a loud chirping the entire temple was enveloped in bright blue light as a lot of people started appearing one after another. All sorts of people wearing varying clothes and some that even looked humaniod but one look is all it takes to tell they weren't.
He raised eyebrows and rubbed his chin. "Is this what she was talking about?" He muttered as he observed everyone around him.
"ISEKAIIII GA KITAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" One young man suddenly shouted as he jumped from joy as the other people that appeared with him stared at him like he was some sort of crazy person. Soon enough the entire temple was filled with chattering and noise as some panicked, some looked very excited, some looked absolutely lost.
Haruki stood up and blended with the others acting like he came with them. Some of the people were wearing simple clothes like the one he was wearing now. The others looked like they came straight out of some kind of fantasy land. The rest were covered in metallic alloy like armor that shone.
As the muttering continued a loud clap was heard from outside the temple. "Settle down everyone! Please be calm! I know you must all be confused right now, but please stay as calm as possible as I tell you what happened." An enchanting femenine voice resounded on everyone's ears as the stared towards the front to the sudden intruded that entered the temple.
