When Niels was sure that the Kievskaya's army was no longer following them, he abandoned the horse in the forest and proceeded their journey on foot. They stopped by a small town and bought modest gowns and clothes befitting lower-class nobles to differentiate their identities from the ones they assumed in Kievskaya.
Runa used a mix of cinnamon, honey, and vinegar to remove her hair dye, and now her hair returned to its original color–silver.
They bought a bag, a hat, gloves, and even a cane to make Niels look like a nobleman. At the next stop, they called a carriage to take them to Reichwein.
The journey back to Reichwein was twice longer than the journey to Kievskaya. It was because sometimes they would rest at an inn at night, and continue their journey using a public coach or by renting a carriage. This must be done to avoid suspicions and to avoid leaving any trail behind.
