Several days ago, a senior member of The Rats claimed to have seen traces of Ansgar somewhere in Grossfeld. Elijah had to admit that Ansgar had the guts to stay at the heart of the problem. Remaining in Grossfeld might give him better chances to steer the direction of the war due to its close vicinity. On the other hand, it was risky and dangerous as he might get caught before he could realize his whole plan.
He intended to chase after Ansgar and put an end to this war and his personal feud with the former prince. Learning from the past, Elijah knew that Ansgar wouldn't directly involve himself in the fight with Elijah no matter how much Elijah provoked him.
Thus, Elijah prepared himself to face at least three of the former royal knights who would stand in Ansgar's place for the fight.
