"Sir Karl! Have you seen Princess Elisa?" Yohana bumped into Sir Karl, who was panting around the royal palace. He seemed like he was just arriving, and would soon leave for someplace again.
"Oh, um…"
"What is it, Sir Karl? Is she alright? Do you know where she is?"
Sir Karl's silence made Yohana worry. She was worried that something might happen to Princess Elisa, and Sir Karl might be too afraid to tell someone because he would be seen as a perpetrator.
"Sir Karl, please tell me. Did something happen to the princess? If so, we need to help her. We have to reach out to her quickly before–"
"I know where she is, and she is doing fine. It's just…"
Yohana waited for Sir Karl to continue his words patiently. Sir Karl was a perceptive person. If he was hiding something, there must be a good reason that drove him to do so.
Sir Karl looked around before saying in a whisper, "She has been helping the injured people in the shelter."
