Runa, the one most directly affected by the spell, couldn't hide her shock. "You chanted the spell? But why?"
Her voice trembled with deep disappointment as she slouched back in her chair, a glimmer of hope extinguished. The person she had turned to for help had turned out to be the very source of her predicament.
With a sense of heaviness in the air, On Setha began to explain, "Her Highness came to me. She was determined to remove you from her life."
