The leader of The Rats, whose identity remained unknown to the young man, appeared furious when confronted with the crown's accusations. This strongly suggested that The Rats were not involved in Lady Runa's kidnapping.
"I'd like to meet with him," Henrie declared, setting aside the map on the table, marked with red to denote the areas the knights had scoured. Nearly half the map was now smudged in red ink.
The knight led Henrie to the cell where they had confined the young man. He informed Henrie that they had moved him out of isolation as a reward for his cooperation. However, the young man was still kept separate from his fellow Rats to prevent them from pressuring him into silence.
Henrie wasted no time and nearly ran to the prison. With the young man now willing to share information, it was his opportunity to uncover the secrets of The Rats.
