Elisa nodded slowly. "Yes, but it's fine now, Elke."
"What do you mean you're fine? You're NOT! You're clearly not. Let the Saints punish me for not recognizing the signs earlier!" Elke groaned as she slapped her forehead in fury.
"I shouldn't have left you with her no matter what. I shouldn't have believed you when you were trembling in fear. Urgh!!!"
"Elke, please stop. I'm used to it now," Elisa tried to alleviate Elke's guilt.
"But you shouldn't be. Being used to it is not a good thing," Elke whimpered, and Elisa saw her like a small kitten.
She didn't know that her sister could look like that, knowing what Elisa had endured. Could it be that Elke cherished her dearly all this time? She had thought that Elke did not care for anything except herself and her business plans.
