Chapter 14 - Mister Little Perfect

Princess Vittoria Olympia of the Romana family of Olympus

"I know you're upset with me right now but I got your brother to come and see you," Campbell entered the bedroom as I was still looking out of the window. I could not physically bring myself to even bless him with my glare because I feared my own retinas would burn away into nothing from the betrayal.

Although the mention of my brother caused my heart both to leap for joy yet my stomach twisted painfully wondering what he was going to say to me.

"Apparently he has to sneak away from his guards to get here since your father finds it hard to believe you escaped."

I could not help but scoff, "He should know I'm a master escaper after studying 'Charlies Angels' and 'Angelina Jolie' action movies. Also 'Ruby Rose' is pretty much of an icon. He has no faith in me."

"I think none of us knew you were capable of avoiding the best trained guards," he chuckled.

"It wasn't a joke for you to laugh at nor do I need your commenting," I clicked my tongue then looked back at him, only to be surprised he had what looked like shopping bags in his hands.

He gave me a sheepish smile as he held them up, "When I came back I was going to tell you I went shopping to try to get you somethings until your brother and I figured out what we were going to do."

He walked over to me and placed the designer shopping bags on the coffee table in front of me. I did not thank him because he did not deserve my kindness, but I did eagerly snoop inside to see what goodies awaited me. Yet I was terribly disappointed.

"And why do you think I would need a cute little two piece skirt and blazer?" I raised my eyebrows as I took the lime green items out of the 'Versace' bag.

"You always used to love such pieces," he smiled, "Especially with the pumps."

I opened another box to find a necklace of pearls as well. I wanted to gag. These were literally the type of clothes I wore when I still listened to protocol and all that nonsense. If I could describe my fashion to you back then, it was literally 'Princess Diaries' to the 'T'. It was an iconic movie to me, sue me.

"Campbell have you not seen my issue on 'Vogue'?" I frowned, "Anyone would know this is a tragedy."

He jutted his bottom lip, "but I always used to buy you such clothes."

I rolled my eyes, "I was nineteen Campbell. I'm a mature young woman now and I have awards dedicated just to me for my fashion. I can't wear these."

"Well no one is going to see you. You'll be stuck in here until we come to an agreement."

This was literally a kidnapper situation. I continued rummaging through the bags and at least he brought me a few leggings with hoodies and a few tracksuits. The summer dresses were cute as well but I would never tell him that.

"I can't wear these," I folded my arms over my chest.

"Well you look like a mess and you need to freshen up."

The gasp that left my mouth echoed throughout the room, "And you hair looks like that of a baby cow."

"What?" he was flabbergasted, "How would you even know how a baby cow looks like? You were terrified of them."

"I 'googled' it once," I shrugged.

"Well it's either you wear those, wear mine or walk around naked. I couldn't care less. Your brother will be here in an hour and I would not like for him to think I have not been treating you with hospitality."

I rolled my eyes, "Of course my future King. Thank you so much for buying me clothes that you would love to see me dress in instead of thinking 'Hmm, what would Vittoria like?' you're so bloody generous."

"Look I'll let you order whatever you want later. How does that sound?"

"It doesn't feel right knowing I can't buy myself a thong because you'll probably be breathing over my shoulder."

He let out a massive sigh that I could have sworn I saw him deflate just a little, "I'll leave you to it."

"Fair warning I'm going to lock the door so you don't try to sneak back in."

"What do you think of me Vittoria?" he held out his hands, "I'm trying."

"I think you're as valuable as the dried up gum on a side walk, thank you very much for asking for my opinion, but I would trust a serial killer more than I would ever trust you."

"I'm going to bill you for my therapy sessions after this conversation."

"Oh your poor therapist, must be messed up after talking to Mister Little Perfect."

Before I could dig another jab in, he left the bedroom and shut the door behind him. I could not help but smile knowing I had won yet another battle.

With a sigh I took out the toiletries he bought for me and was surprised to find he still remembered what I liked to use. I was very loyal to the brands and I used therefore I did not change much over the years when it came to that.

He got me as many hair products he felt I would need for my unruly curls and even got the top of the range diffuser because my hair literally took two days to dry since it was so incredibly thick.

The part that had me red faced was the underwear Campbell had bought for me. Even though we had been together for a very long time he had never seen me in my underwear. Plus back then I was terribly bland it was not like it was a sight for sore eyes. Now however I was into lace everything and that was exactly what he bought for me.

I could already imagine his twisted face as he picked these out for me. The despicable man.
