Chapter 120 - 117

I excused myself to begin looking over my system rewards for overthrowing a country.

'System what rewards did I earn for overthrowing a country?'

[Host has earned 3 silver tickets making a total of 5 silver tickets 2 basic tickets]

'System what is my current balance of points?'

[Host has 500,457 points available for use]

'Use both basic tickets'

[2 basic tickets used: 1 Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, Soylent Green recipe]

The first thought that came to mind was congratulations they're both worthless.

'System use the 5 silver tickets'

[5 silver tickets used: Stepfordization machine (The Stepford Housewives), Riddick's eyes, Proton pack (Ghost busters), Neuromod (Prey), Dr. Vahlen (Xcom)]

The Stepfordization machine while fun was completely useless to me as the final faze of Stepfordization was to convert the entire world's population. I could modify it somewhere down the line if I unlock a skill set for this but for now I'll just keep it in my inventory. Riddick's eyes while cool to look at were worthless to me at the moment. Even if someone lost their eyes I already have robotic replacements thanks to my Ripper Doc skills which rendered the eyes redundant.

The Proton pack was still salvageable as even if I never encountered a ghost it could still be useful as a weapon. Finally my two biggest concerns the Neuromod from the Prey universe and Dr. Vahlen. I wasn't sure what type of Neuromod it was or if it was even safe the last thing I wanted was to transform myself into a Typhon after using the thing. In regards to Dr Vahlen I like everything about her but she lacks self control and personal ethics as her only line seemed to be earth first. This meant that she needed a steady hand to keep her from taking unnecessary risk a fact she herself acknowledged.

I didn't want to summon Vahlen but now that I acquired her it was much too wasteful to not do so. She is an extremely brilliant woman fearless and able to accomplish great feats with minimal resources.

Summit of the gods

No matter how long the debate continued none could reach a consensus as they couldn't allow the emerging power to fall into foreign hands. Each pantheon began to purposefully drag out the debate over even the littlest issues. They began plotting behind the scenes in order to snatch the prize from their competitors.

Odin knew that his son Thor had cultivated a friendship with Julian working side by side to defend Midgard. At first he disdained the idea but now that relationship could be leveraged to help sway Julian Black toward Asgard. Thor spoke of his love of women and conveniently suggested Amora the very goddess that he was avoiding to have a dalliance with the Midgardian mortal woman. Odin wanted to say no but didn't see a better option and sent Loki to give her his order as Thor couldn't leave his side as his heir.

Zeus had a similar line of thought and decided to send Diana his own daughter to bond with him and commanded Hermes to convey his will. She would night be the only one sent to Julian Black as Zeus imagined that Julian was like himself. Zeus believed that Julian could not be content with just one woman and therefore planed to others and hopefully baby trap him likely with many offspring.

Ra wasn't a fool and could easily see what was going on and since the others weren't playing fairly why should he? Ra already had Bast open Wakanda to Julian exclusively and began looking for goddesses to send his way. He didn't care if they were already married or not as long as they could help him achieve his goal. Julian was far more valuable than some lesser god's feelings and any goddess should feel honored to serve the will of Ra.

(Justice League watchtower)

After grueling weeks on Mars the core members of the Justice League had returned. Unfortunately there was no time for down time especially with the collapse of a nation. They never expected that in the time that they have been gone that something of this magnitude would transpire. Worse still Shield had prevented the involvement of the Justice League and allowed Bailya to conquer their neighbor. No one bothered to stop the event and now a tyrant has extended her reach under the false pretense of stabilizing the region.

Even more damming to some was the fact that Queen Bee seemed to be a close ally of Julian Black. The whole incident seemed too convenient he had been there for a few weeks before the region became destabilized and conveniently Bailya stepped in to take control.
