Vicki: Mr Black Recently you had a altercation with the known supervillain Gorilla Grod. During the battle you killed various apes don't you feel that there could have been a different approach to the situation?
"I'll be honest with you Miss Vale there probably was another way to handle the situation but I come from an earth where hesitation could mean the death of a world. Without the guidance of the God Emperor of mankind and humanity only having one world I wasn't willing to risk it."
Vicki: What was so dire that you felt the need for such measures or are you not allowed to speak upon it?
"The reason Gorilla Grod attacked this time was a virus that was being studied at this particular laboratory"
Vicki: And what was so important about this particular virus could it be deadly?
"Worse it slowly peels away intellect until only a beast remains everything that makes someone who they are would be wiped away. For those who consider this to only be a "human problem" allow me to clarify it would also affect metahumans, mutants, Amazons, Atlantians even Inhumans, and any other human derivative species."
A look of absolute horror and realization appeared on Vicki Vale's face as she began to understand the gravity of what I stated. It was shocking to realize how close humanity came to collapse. She managed to compose herself after such a bombshell was dropped in a remarkable time considering the weight of the topic itself.
Vicki: Do you mean that such a virus was here on American soil?
"It's as true as it is shocking. Although I wanted to give him the emperor's justice for attempting to release the virus I was told that it was frowned upon to dispatch enemy combatants that have been subdued"
Vicki: So who has the virus now?
"No one I destroyed the virus along with the research on how it was developed I couldn't risk such things being in any one individual's hands especially since humanity has much disunity. I was afraid that one group or one individual would use this for nefarious purposes"
The rest of the interview was just praise for my heroic action against Grod or banter to make me seem somewhat approachable. I pretended that some of what she said seemed alien to me certain jokes that were objectively funny for a normal individual but were lost on me. As I said before I needed to seem other and unknown only somewhat approachable but out of reach. This allowed me to act with some measure of impunity as both an agent of Shield and a loyal soldier of the God Emperor of mankind. Most would excuse my actions as being a foreigner in a foreign land with no way home which would make me somewhat sympathetic to the masses.
All of this was to lay the groundwork for my long-term goals as well as create an exit strategy should things not go to plan. Was I a good person... no certainly not I knew myself I could and I would do anything to get what I wanted regardless of how it might harm others. I mean you don't marry someone you don't love unless there is some benefit and you wouldn't fabricate an accident to collect insurance money if you had the ability to care what happened to them. While reminiscing about my past life Vicki Vale approached with a slight sway in her hips as tucked some hair behind her ear and a bright smile on her face.
Vicki: You don't know how much this means to me that you decided to choose me for your first specific interview and I hope that you will remember me the next time you decide to do another interview
